(This is kind of a vent writing. But yea, it has romance in it don't worry lol)
Clementines Perspective:
Quiet sobbing.
It wasn't every night, but it was occasional enough to make Clementine feel regretful.
It was a decision that she never thought she'd make and in a panic, she saved Louis. It's not like she wanted to choose between the two, she loved both of them, just differently ofcourse. But in that panicked state, she saved him and now Violet was suffering with bad ptsd.
Clementine sighed, unconsciously scooting farther away from Violet on their twin size bed. She gripped the bed sheets slightly, bracing herself for what would happen next.
Violet awoke with a jolt from the bed, she sat up and breathed heavily. Clementine shut her mouth tight, trying to stay as quiet as she could, she didn't even move a muscle. The last thing Violet would want is to see my face. She thought.
Violet steadied her breathing, now looking over to Clementine, trying to make sure she didn't wake up her girlfriend. Once she believed Clem was asleep, she went back to bed.
About 20 minutes had passed and now Clementine heard the soft snores Violet made.
Clementine got up slowly and quietly. Once she started to walk on the floor, she hopped to the door because her wooden stump would make too much noise. She left the room, letting the cold bite at her exposed skin. It was cold, and dark. January had just ended, so winter was gone, but it's residue was still very present. Clementine hugged herself, walking out of the halls and into the courtyard; The couches outside was a place she came to think, mainly on late nights like these. Where the yard was calm, and no-one was around.
Clementine set the fire, sighing in relief as the warmth fought her goosebumps.
She flopped onto a couch, laying on it. She looked upon the stars. At first, it was a pretty sight, but very quickly, it was a burden on her mind. The stars reminded her of that night 4 months ago, when she confessed to Violet and they had their first kiss. It was a nice memory, but not right now because guilt had hit her hard, because that was also the night she let Violet get kidnapped, which had led to sleepless nights and panic attacks for her girlfriend. Clementine's eyes watered, desperately waiting to be released. So she let them, she was alone anyways. She didn't make any noise, it was a silent cry. An empty, and broken cry.
Her mind screamed the worst things at her. They would scream that she wasn't good enough for Violet, that she ruined her life. Her mind told her that everywhere she went, she just caused heartbreak, that if she had just stopped running a long time ago, Violet, Louis and all the other kids here wouldn't have that trauma burdening their mind. She thought that if she didn't come here, Tenn, Marlon, Mitch, and Brody would still be alive and happy, smiling with them as they ate dinner. But no. They were gone and it was because of her.
Everything was her fault.
Violet's Perspective:
"I'm sorry!" Violet rushed down to Clementine, she was on the floor and holding the side of her face with shocked eyes, "You hit me Violet, I thought you loved me? I came to save you...so why?" Clementine asked sadly. Violet looked into her eyes, they weren't like a golden sunset, they were dull, like the beginning of an apocalyptic world in a movie. "I'm sorry." Was all Violet could mutter out before a familiar face walked into the cell. Louis' yelling had stopped, Clementine's breathing had stopped, the whole world had stopped.
The only noise made was the sound of her footsteps, "You loved me....no, you love me."
Violet shook her head, "No! You murdered Sophie! You hurt my friends!"
