Chapter 10

(Because we need to get to the good stuff now)

"Sunoo?? Ddeonu?? Sunshine?? Hellooooo?" Everyone called out as they waved their hands in front of Sunoo's face as he was nearly crying from all the pressure. The news hit him hard.

"I- I don't know what to think anymore" Sunoo mumbled as his friends plus Sunghoon tried to comfort him.

"Hey it's ok. Your not alone anymore and we will be here to help you" Jungwon reassured
Sunoo before they pulled him closer into a warm group hug, until an unexpected someone come to the rooftop.

"GUYS!!" Ni-ki panted before running towards the two as he noticed the situation.

"What's wrong Ni-ki?" Sunghoon asked as he left the group hug and approached the younger.

"I was chased down the hallways, I came up here to possibly loose them. But what happened here??" Ni-ki asked as he felt the awkwardness from the others.

"Umm some stuff came up and well.... It's complicated" Sunghoon explained as Ni-ki came closer and joined the hug, not knowing why they were like this in the first place but if it meant comforting Sunoo, he'll do it.

"Can I talk to Sunoo for a minute?" Ni-ki asked as Sunoo nodded but Jungwon gave him a glare before he dragged Sunoo inside the school away from his friends and into the school washrooms.

"If your here to make fun of me again than your wasting your time" Sunoo said coldly as he tried to maintain a straight face. He didn't want to break down, not in front of Ni-ki.

"I'm not, but you've been looking off all day and I wanted to ask if somethings wrong"

"Since when did you care huh? Day by day your always there either making fun of me or bothering me, I don't get it Ni-ki just hang out with your "admirers" or something, you'll find something better" Sunoo argued earning a concerned and somewhat hurt expression from Ni-ki.

This was all too much. First he gets glares and unnecessary gossip from students, then he gets threatened to get expelled if he didn't stay away from Ni-ki and now Jaemin is back. Ofcourse it was hard to handle all in one day.

"Look I'm sorry for how I've treated you for the past months and I'm trying to change, I just wanted to ask what happened today."
Ni-ki replied in a soft voice, one he hasn't used in a while and for some reason it was very comforting towards Sunoo and that's when he broke down.

"I was threatened to get expelled from the principals daughter, found out Jaemin is coming back and now I have a bunch of girls attacking me because I walked into class with you" Sunoo cried while slowly sliding down the walls of the bathroom stall while Ni-ki looked very worried for the older as he didn't know what to do, he's never been an emotional support human and has never really dealt with these types of situations.

"Shhhhhh it's ok. I'll talk with them"

"Why are you being so nice to me right now? What happened??"

"I- uh"

"I want to start as a new me, and I want to change my ways..."

"But why so sudden" Sunoo sniffled on the floor of the bathroom, not caring if people hear him.

"Because of you...."

He said it.... Ni-ki said it.

"M-me??"

"Yes, ever since we were tutoring together you've always found ways to deal with my stubbornness and always treated me differently than anyone else in this school, you offered to buy me food and even after me making fun of you you always had a smile on your face, ever since after then I've always had a weird feeling in my stomach. I even asked Jay hyung about it and well he said it was love....."

"I get if you don't accept me back because of everything I did to you, but it had to come out sometime soon" Ni-ki smiled as he hugged Sunoo who was still on the ground now thinking about what just happened

Did he just confess to me..
Sunoo asked himself as he was so shocked.

He never thought Ni-ki would actually confess to him.... Ever.

All Sunoo could think of is if he should accept Ni-ki even after everything he did to him Sunoo always tried to find away to melt his cold heart, not gonna lie Sunoo loved Ni-ki since Day One and always ended admiring Ni-ki from afar but never thought he would be the one confessing first.

The hug lasted a while as Ni-ki didn't feel any response coming from the older. He must be shocked. As Ni-ki let go of the hug, disappointed for not getting a response and was about to stand up and leave until he felt a force pulling him down and hugging him tight. Now this is a hug he hasn't felt in a while.

Sunoo pulled him into a tight hug as his decision was now clear in his mind, "of course I accept you Ni-ki, I forgive you now that I know your trying to change. I can help you with that, your never alone"

Hearing those words Ni-ki couldn't hold it in anymore and burst into tears on Sunoo's uniform, it had been years ever since he last cried. He thought he was numb ever since he left Japan, but no. As of today, the day he confessed to Sunoo was the first time in a long time he has ever shed a tear.

"Ni-ki..... are you crying?"

No response. Just sobs coming from the younger as they were still embraced in each other's arms.

"Shhhh it's ok" Sunoo tried calming the younger down by rubbing his back and just pulling him closer, and that's when Sunoo placed a small kiss on Ni-ki's head to comfort the younger. He could obviously tell that Ni-ki had a lot of feelings locked away and just needed to be released.

Why is he being so nice to me right now?
Even after all that has happened he still comforts me like I've known him for years
Ni-ki thought as his mind was soon consumed with all these overwhelming questions.

"So.... Does that make us official?" Sunoo asked as he lifted Ni-Ki's head as the older could clearly see tears still streaming down the youngers face as quiet sniffles were heard.

Ni-ki gave him a little nod and dug his face back onto the olders shoulder as he hugged him closely, not ever wanting to let him go. He wanted this moment to last forever.

And ever.

(A/N: FINALLY THE GOOD STUFF HAS COME. I felt like the beginning was kinda boring so it was about time they got together, don't worry. There's more to come 😉)
