“Mehmed.” I pinched Mehmed who was busy glaring at Hafsa Sultan. What will I do with this idiot.

“What?” He frowned at my pissed expression.

“Stop glaring at her back. It's not like she'll drop dead if you keep on glaring at her back.” I hissed at him and he frowned at me.

“What are you two talking about.” Hümaşah Sultan asked as she gave a knowing smile. Oh God. How many times do I have to tell them nothing is going on between us.

“Nothing, Sultanam.” Mehmed replied as he smiled at his sister who smiled back at him before turning towards Zülfikar Pasha.

“Wait here. I'll be back.” He said before walking off towards Şehzade Selim and Sadika Hatun who were busy talking and laughing near the fountain.

When will the carriage come and take the newly wedded couple to their new palace. I can't wait to go back and have a warm bath and relax.

As soon as Mehmed walked away, Şehzade Orhan came and stood where Mehmed was standing earlier. “Andria Hatun, have I told you how beautiful you look today?”

Get lost. “Thank you, Şehzadem.”

Have I told you how much of an annoying creature you are?

“A beautiful woman like you deserve a better man. A better Şehzade.” He said in a flirtatious tone and I almost scrunch my nose at his words.

“I'm better than my brother Mehmed. I'll give you everything you want. Just be Hatun.” He whispered and I turn towards him with a fake smile.

“Şehzade Orhan, I don't know which part of ‘I'm a free woman’ you didn't understand but let you tell you again. I'm a free woman. I'm no one's slave.” I said with my lips pursued in a tight line. “And talking about Şehzade Mehmed, he's thousand times better than you.”

He let out a chuckle making me scowl at him. “Feisty much. I like it.”

He was about to place his hand on my shoulder when Mehmed appeared out of nowhere and grabbed his hand before pushing him away and he fell down on the grass right on his butt. Weak ass.

“Orhan, behave youtself.” Mehmed said in a cold tone glaring at his brother who was red with anger and embarrassment.

By now everyone was looking at them. Hafsa Sultan look at her son with concern before shooting Mehmed her infamous glare, whereas the Sultan was glaring hard at Şehzade Orhan. Well, at least he understands the situation.

Orhan stood up and took out his sword before raising it towards Mehmed but I was faster then him. I quickly took out the dagger from underneath my dress and blocked the sword that was inches away from Mehmed's head.

Everyone gasped and froze.

Mehmed's eyes were wide open looking at the sword that was inches away from his head, blocked by the dagger.

I pushed his sword away using my dagger and he stumble back and tripped on the table cloth before falling down on the table.

He glared at me and I gave him a mean look.

Hafsa Sultan came running towards his son. “Orhan, are you ok? Did you get hurt.” She asked Orhan who was glaring at me and Mehmed.

She turn towards me with a hard glare before advancing towards me. “You insolent woman. You dare to push and raise a dagger on my Şehzade.”

She was about to slap me when another hand grabbed her wrist.

“She did the right thing.” Sultan glared at her before leaving her wrist. “Didn't you see how Orhan tried to kill Mehmed? Is this how you raised him.”

I turn back to look at Mehmed who was still shocked. I grabbed his hand squeezing it. “Breath Mehmed.”

He blinked a couple of times before letting out a heavy breath like he just ran a marathon. I rubbed his back with the other hand while squeezing his hand with the other.

“I'm fine.” He said looking at me and I let out a sigh in relieve. I didn't knew I was holding my breath until now.

I was about to pull my hand away but Mehmed's hand grabbed me tighter.

The sound of a flesh colliding with another flesh pulled us out of our little bubble. We turn around to see Hümaşah Sultan glaring at Şehzade Orhan who was holding his right cheeks.

“You dare to raise your sword on your brother.” She yelled at Şehzade Orhan who was looking down. “You're the son of the Ruler of the World and is this how you behave? What kind of insolence is this.”

“Hümaşah, you have no rig-”

“Don't you dare talk about my rights here.” Hümaşah Sultan cutted off a pissed Hafsa Sultan. “I'm Hümaşah Sultan. Daughter of Haseki Handan Sultan and the Ruler of the World, Sultan Mustafa Khan. I'm not a slave like you so, you better watch your tongue before raising your voice at me.”

The wedding was turning into a big mess but the only thing that shocked me was that, The Sultan was just standing there with an expression less face looking at his daughter and his wife fight. What a werid family.

Hafsa Sultan just stood there with a red face and didn't utter a word.

“Hümaşah Sultan, you can't talk with my Valide like that.” Şehzade Orhan said with a scowl.

“Enough.” Selim cutted in. “Our Lord is standing right here among us and you people are fighting infront of him?”

“Şehzade-” Hafsa Sultan was about to say something but Şehzade Selim raised his hand indicating her to stop.

“Today is a special day for Fatma and I don't want anyone ruining it. We'll talk about this later in the palace and Hünkarım will decided what is right.” He said leaving no place for argument and the Sultan looked at him with a proud smile.

Soon the newly wedded couples carriage arrived and we sent them off before getting into the carriage and heading towards the palace. This time I sat with Mehmed.

He hasn't left my hand and I didn't tried to pulled away knowing he will tighten his grip. He was still shock and haven't uttered even a word which was starting to worry me.

“If only my Valide was alive.” He whispered in a sad tone that made me want to cry.

“Today, Orhan almost killed me. If you didn't jump in on time I could have been dead. I don't know how to repay you.” He said looking into my eyes with a teary eyes.

I pulled my hand out of his grasp before cupping his face with my palm. “Mehmed, you don't have to repay me.”

He lean his head on my shoulder before grabbing my hand again. “He tried to kill me infront of my father and my father didn't even do anything.”

“If my Valide was here with us, no one could've dared to even raise their voice at me.” His voice cracked at the end. I ran my hand throught his messy hair before rubbing his back.

“Mehmed, it's ok. Everything will be alright. Everything happens for good.” I said as I unconsciously lean in and kissed his head.

We reached the palace and I wiped Mehmed's face with my handkerchief before stepping out ready to bring the hell if that witch try anything to provoke Mehmed.
