The whole Harem was filled with laughter and talking. Some concubines were dancing while some were playing music and some were distrubing food to others.

Hümaşah and I sat in the middle while Sadika and Ayşe sat on the pillow on our sides. Hafsa Sultan and the other Sultana's didn't attend as they were disappointed that Gülbahar gave birth to a Sultana.

Double gold joins were distributed in the Harem for the arrival of the two new members of the dynasty. Gevherhan and Atike.

Sadika was smiling as she enjoyed the party talking with others. That's when I realised, I was sitting with a bunch of power thirsty people. She didn't care that Şehzade Selim slept with other woman and that woman gave birth. She was just sad because she thought she'll lose her power and the hope to become a Haseki if that woman gives birth to a prince.

"Halime? What are you thinking?" Hümaşah Sultan asked and I shook my head.

"Nothing Sultanam." I replied and smiled at her just then the door man announced the arrived of Şah Sultan and Beyhan Sultan and we all stood up to welcome the witches.

Şah Sultan smirked at me evily before sitting down on the couch next to us followed by Beyhan Sultan.

"Sumbul agha, prepare Gülfem Hatun for the Halvet." She ordered Sumbul without moving her gaze from me. Gülfem happily kissed her hand and left with Sumbul to go and prepare and I scoffed at them.

"And Firuze Kalfa, go prepare a camber for Halime Sultan." Beyhan Sultan added.

But I shook my head. "No need Firuze Kalfa. There is no need to waste your energy."

"Why? Where will you sleep then Halime." Şah Sultan asked.

"In my chamber with Mehmed." I replied simply and she laughed at me mockingly.

"You are so funny Halime." She laughed but I just shrugged.

"Halime, you can spend the night in my chamber." Hümaşah Sultan offered but I shook my head.

"Thank you, Sultanam. But there is no need for that. Gülfem will return. I trust Mehmed." I gave her a reassuring smile but deep down I side I was burning in rage. How dare she? If I don't make her pay, my name is not Halime.

The party continued with the two witches throwing nasty glares and sneers my way but I didn't paid any attention to them, I just let them make a fool out of themselves.

And like I predicted, Gülfem returned with tears running down her eyes and it was my time to shot them an evil smirk.

Sumbul agha ran towards me trembling like he just saw a ghost and bowed to me. "Sultanam, Şehzade Mehmed asked for you." He said and I stood up.

"With your permission Sultanam." I bowed to Hümaşah Sultan and threw a smirk towards the Ottoman witches before walking out of the Harem.

When I entered the room, Mehmed was working on something on his table but instantly stood up as soon as he saw me and dropped the thing he was working on before coming towards me with a big grin.

He embraced me into a tight hug before placing a lingering kiss on my lips. "I missed you." He said and I chuckled at him.

"But we saw each other in the morning."

"Still, I missed you." He replied and I chuckled again before kissing the tip of his nose.

"You are such a big baby." I said. "Anyway, why did Gülfem came crying? What did you told her?"

He frown. "I didn't told her anything. I just rejected her from the door." He said before his face hardened. "I need to talk to Şah Sultan tomorrow. I'm tired of her sending me women and trying to cling on me like a leech."

"Well you should." I replied honestly before sitting down before the table and the maids started to serve dinner.

"So? How was your day?" He asked me as he sip on his wine and I just shrugged.

"Beside almost getting into a hand-to-hand combat with your dear aunts, nothing else." I stated and he shot me his infamous confused look.

"Beside almost getting into a real fights with you aunts, nothing special." I repeat and he shook his head in amusement.

"Why? What did they said that really pissed you off?" He asked and I began to narrate him the whole story. Call me childish, I don't care. I also need someone to listen to my rants.

"And she said you'll always choose her over me." I said and he scoffed.

"What makes her think I'll choose her, who made my mother's life miserable, over my wife?" He murmured. His eyes fell on my plate and he frowned.

"You haven't eaten anything Halime. What's wrong? You didn't like it? Wait. I'll tell them to make something else for you." He said as he stood up but I stopped him.

"No. No it's fine." I said and he frowned before sitting down beside me. He cupped my face with both his hands. "What's wrong?" He asked and I sighed.

"Every time I eat something, I throw up the next second. And now, I can't even eat anything." I pouted. "But don't worry about it. I asked the physician about it, she said it's common during pregnancy."

His face fell and was replaced with worry. "Is there anything I can do? How about we summoned the other royal physicians tomorrow?"

I chucked at him before pinching his cheeks. "Don't worry about it and no, there is no cure for this. It will go away soon so don't worry too much about it and enjoy your meal."

"How can I, Halime? How can I eat knowing that you are not eating?" He said as he stroke my cheeks before motioning the maids to take the food away.

Did he just-

Can he be anymore sweater? Damn. I'm so freaking lucky to have him.

"Bring something to drink for Halime Sultan." He ordered and they nodded before walking away. He picked me up bridal style before laying me on the bed and popping down side me.

He rested his head on his arm while resting the other one on my stomach and I smiled at him.

"Hafsa Sultan was angry that Gülbahar Hatun gave birth to a girl." Mehmed said and I nodded.

"She didn't even look at the baby's face or attend her naming." I sighed before putting my hand over his which was on my belly and intertwined our fingers.

"What if I give birth to a girl?" I asked.

"Halime, I don't care whether it's a boy or a girl. They are a part from the woman I love. The sign of our love Halime. I will love them all equally." He answered before placing a kiss on my forehead and I smiled. He will be a great father.
