I ran my fingers through my hair as I stare at the starless, empty, dark sky. It's going to rain.
Mehmed wrapped his arm around me before placing a light kiss on the nape of my neck and I relaxed into his touch.
My due date was coming soon and I'm sacred. What if they try to kill my baby? What if something happens to the baby?
"I know what you are thinking Halime." Mehmed said and I turn around to face him. He kissed my forehead. "It's going to be okey. I'll protect you and our child with my life, I won't let anything happen to both of you."
I nodded. I know he will.
"Everything will be fine, Ok?" He whispered and I nodded. "Now, come on. Let's feed you and our baby." He pulled me inside and sat me down on a pillow infront of the table before settling himself beside me and I lean against him.
The maids laid the food out before bowing and going to, leaving us alone.
"I asked the chef to prepare your favourite sweet. Here." He said as he placed the red pastery infront of me and I grinned at him before placing a quick kiss on his lips but he wasn't satisfied. He grabbed my face before kissing me passionately leaving me flushed and breathless.
He smirked at me and I playfully glared at him before turning my gaze back my precious pastery.
I grabbed a spoon before digging in. As I took the first bite, I let out a moan at the heavenly texture of the pastery.
Another bite, another moan.
I turn my gaze back at Mehmed to see him staring at me, his honey brown eyes turned dark as he stare at me with his eyes full of lust.
I licked my lips and he let out a little growl before pressing his lips on mine and my hand instantly left the spoon before getting lost in Mehmed's soft hair.
I felt a burning sensation in my throat but ignored it since it wasn't that harsh.
Suddenly the baby kicked hard and I pulled away from Mehmed before groaning and rubbing my lower stomach.
"What happened!?" Mehmed asked in panic but I couldn't answer him. My head started to feel dizzy, my throat started to burn and that baby made it harder for me to breath by kicking and moving restlessly.
"Aghas! AGHAS!" Mehmed yelled and some aghas rushed inside. "Summon the physician and the midwife. NOW!" He yelled before kneeling down and picking me up before placing me on the bed.
"Mehmed." I whispered his name as my vision became blurry.
"I'm here, Halime. It's going to be okey. You'll be fine. Just. . . just stay with me." He grabbed my hand before squeezing it.
My eyes slowly started to close before I lost my consciousness.
Şehzade Mehmed
"Halime." I slapped her cheeks light but she didn't move or respond. "Halime."
The physician and the midwife came in and bowed to me. "WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG!?" I growled at them in frustration and they flinched.
"I swear, if anything happens to her or my child, I'll BEHEAD YOU. DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!?" They nodded quickly before rushing towards Halime. Just then Hümaşah rushed inside.
"Mehmed." She rushed towards me and instantly embraced me into a tight hug. "What happen? What's going on. What happen to Halime?" She asked as she pulled away.
"I. . . I don't know. She was fine and the next minute. . . .I don't get it." I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration.
"It's ok, Mehmed. It's going to be fine." She comforted.
