I untied my hair and ran my fingers thought my hair untangling it while Mehmed sat on the study table making something.
After his father, his brother and Zülfikar pasha went away, we decided to return to Konya so, here we are. The journey was long and uncomfortable with Gülfem glaring at me.
She thinks I stole Mehmed from her. Stupid girl. I just wanted to tell her on her face that she was never in the story. In reality, Sultan Mehmed married Ayşe Rasha Sultan. She was the first and only wife of Sultan Mehmed who bore him two sons. Stupid woman.
Hümaşah Sultan moved in into the palace as she will be now looking after the Harem. She promised to visit soon with two of her aunts. Şah Sultan Sultan and Beyhan Sultan. The witches of the Ottoman dynasty.
“Andria.” Mehmed called out and I hummed before turning back to look at him.
He came and sat down beside me in the couch before reaching for my hand and I looked at him in confusion.
He slipped a ring into my ring finger and I looked at it blankly. It has a big blue sapphire stone surrounded by small diamonds. “What is this?”
“It's a ring. I made it.” He said it in an obvious tone rolling his eyes.
“I know. But. . . . why?” I asked. “Why are you giving me this?”
“Because I wanted too.” He replied and I shot him an unimpressed look. “You saved my life twice Andria. It's just my way of thanking you.“
I pulled my hand out of his grasp and he cleared his throat. Awkward. I know. “Do you like it.” He asked.
I glanced at the beautiful masterpiece on my finger before smiling and nodding. “I love it.”
He mumbled something under his breath but I couldn't quiet catch it. “What?”
“Nothing.” He said before standing up. He forwarded his hand and I took it before standing up. “Şah Sultan and Beyhan Sultan will be coming next week and will be staying here until Hünkarım returns.”
That sucks. “Ok.”
Someone knocked on the door.
“Enter.” Mehmed said without taking his eyes off me.
Nigar Kalfa enter with her head bowed. “Şehzadem.”
“What is it, Kalfa.” Mehmed asked. She hesitate glancing at me and I cocked my eyebrows at her.
“Gülfem is here.” She said after hesitating alot.
“Sent her back.” Mehmed replied.
“But Şehzadem, It's thursday.” She said again. Ok. I think I know what's going on here.
“Ok then. Nigar Kalfa take me to another room.” I said and she nodded. I walked towards her just for Mehmed to grab my hand and pull me back with so much force what I landed on his hard chest.
“Sent her back, Kalfa. I don't want any other woman until I ask for.” He spoke calmly with his eyes closed and lips pursed. Now, what did we do.
Nigar nodded immediately and rushed out. I broke free from his grasp rubbing my cheek. “You didn't have to pull me that hard you know.” I scowled at him and he just shrugged before sitting down infront of the table.
“Stop glaring at me. Just sit down and have your food.” He said and I shot him a fake smile before sitting down.
“Why do you still want me to stay in your chamber with you. Haven't I proven myself.” I questioned. “I saved you twice Mehmed. If I wanted you dead, I could have let you died there.”
He shrugged. “I'm the Şehzade. You don't question me, Andria. I do what I want to.”
I gave him a bored face. “Incase you might have forgotten. I don't care, Mehmed. Just give me another room.”
“Hmm let me think. No.”
“Mehmed, if you don't allow other woman to visit you, your aunts are going to think I'm a witch and I have put a spell on you.” I explained.
“You are my witch.” He mumbled.
“What!?” I asked.
“Nothing.”He replied. “I don't care about them, Andria.”
I rolled my eyes at him. “Ok, I get it. You are so attached to me. I get it Mehmed. What shall I say? I'm just irresistible.”
He scoffed. “Yeah.” He replied sarcastically.
“But why did you sent that poor girl away. You know she think I stole you from her.” I frowned as I drank the cool sharbat.
“Let her think whatever she want too. Her thoughts doesn't bother you or me anyway.”
I scowled at him before picking up a grap from the bowl and throwing it at him making him frown at me. “What?”
“Your making me the villain in your story you know.” I said with an ugly scowl and he chuckled at me.
“You are something else, Andria.” He chuckled. “Where were you my whole life.” He said and we froze.
“Hiding from you.” I joked trying to lighten the mood. Luckily it did. He laughed at me and I joined in.
After diner, we sat on the couch in the balcony watching the full moon that was shining down upon us.
“Mehmed.” I called out and he hummed before turning his face towards me. “I'll ask you something. Please answer it honestly.”
He thought for a second before nodding. “Ok. But if you are going to ask me about the map to the treasure in the palace then I'm not telling you anything.” He joked and I rolled my eyes at him.
“Hahaha very funny Mehmed. Do I look like a thief to you?” I questioned making him grin at me.
He mumbled something which I couldn't quiet catch again. “What?”
“Nothing.” He replied and I scowl at him.
“You are being weird today Mehmed. You're talking to yourself. I think you need to see a doctor.”
He rolled his eyes.
“Anyway, the thing that I want to ask you is.” I said rubbing my hands together. “Why did you sent Gülfem back.”
“Andria–”
I stopped him. “I didn't ask you about the map to the treasure. Just answer me honestly. Why did you send her back. I thought you like her.”
He sighed before slipping his hand into mine and playing with my fingers. “I don't know.” He replied.
“I just don't want her anymore.” He said looking straight into my eyes. I tired to look away feeling some werid sensation but I couldn't. It was as if I was bewitched.
“You want to know what I want?” He whispered with his gaze on my lips and I nodded hesitantly.
He lean in close to my face and my breath hitched. “I want you.” He said before his lips connected with mine.
