~Back to Convertamall Cavern...~

Eli had found a tuxedo fairly quick. Pronto and Kord just ended up buying a new one. They searched throughly through lots of stores, none of which seemed to: A) have their size, B) be in full stock, and C) be completely deserted.

Eli sighed in relief as Pronto finally made a decision and paid for his tuxedo. He's one heck of a picky mole, Eli thought.

"Alright. Now, we must buy nice shiny clean shoes!"

"No!" Pronto looked at the other male members of the Gang in confusion.

"What? Why?"

"Because we've been walking around for hours on end! I think you could just polish your boots and wear those!" Pronto mumbled incoherently, something about acting like poor people.

"Just because we're buying new things," commented Eli, "doesn't mean we can't reuse the stuff we already have! We can save some money for... um... your other... stuff." Pronto thought for a while. Then he excitedly agreed.

"You are right Eli! I could buy much better items with this money!"

"That's the spirit!" Kord said.

"So, are we good to go?" Eli and Kord pleaded with eagerness.

Pronto thought for a minute then nodded. "Yes, I am ready to go! Let us go!"

As Pronto's back was turned, Eli and Kord shared a quick fist bump.

"Nice save bro."

"Yeah. Thanks Kord."

"Eli! Kord! We are leaving! NOW!" They two slingers chuckled as they followed Pronto out into the parking lot.

You can persuade them, but you'll never change them, thought Eli.

The boys arrived back at the hideout in no time. When they entered the living room, they found Trixie reading a magazine on the couch, her feet propped up on the coffee table.

"Hey guys. Find anything," she asked without lifting her head to acknowledge them.

"Yep," Kord replied, "three new well-fitting tuxes."

"Great," she replied. Her voice had no emotion whatsoever.

"Hey Trix, what's up?" Eli sat beside her and Kord and Pronto all sat near her. She silently squealed then sat up straighter, bringing her legs off the table and placing her magazine spine down. "Um, what?"

"Who's up for a bet," she asked in a low voice. The boys 'oohed' as she had said that. "Sure."

"So, what is the bet this time?" Pronto asked while stroking his chin. Trixie smirked and launched into details.

"Riley thinks, and bets, that no guy at the Cotillion will like her. So, you guys up for it?" The boys all smirked and Trixie had made a bet that Riley would have more than one guy liking her. Pronto bet that Riley would be liked by only one guy.

"What," Pronto asked when he saw their disapproving looks. "She may or may not, but I strongly believe only one guy will like her." Kord had made the same bet as Trixie (which they argued was not allowed, but they eventually let it slip), and Eli had bet that every guy would like her.

It was Eli's turn to ask 'what'. He explained that Riley was a good person, and it was hard for someone not to like her. The Gang was having other thoughts though...

Eli's POV

The Gang looked at me weird. They were smirking. All of them.

"What?" I asked again. They all shrugged, but Trixie let out a giggle.

"Nothing," they replied in unison.

"Okay..." I murmured. "So, what's the prize?" Trixie thought for a minute, then had an evil grin plastered on her face. Oh. Oh floppers.

She opened her mouth to speak until Riley came running down the stairs.

"Get back here you!!" Riley was running after something unseen by the rest of the Gang.

"I guess you'll just have to wait and see." Trixie smirked then left to go help Riley. We groaned. We had all anticipated it. Maybe too much.

Riley's POV

I ran after my eraser that had rolled away from me. Yeah, my eraser. It's almost like a rubber ball, but it's an eraser. I had learned about this a few months ago. At first, it was quite entertaining. But now, I swear it's not even funny anymore.

The eraser bounced around the entire living room. Trixie was on the opposite side trying to help catch it.

"I got it! Ah!" Trixie tripped over something and hit the ground.

"Trixie! Are you- ow!" My damned eraser hit me in the head, accelerating its speed. I ran after it again, frustrated and determined.

I felt everyone watching me as I ran like a lunatic after my cursed eraser. I had many attempted grabs that failed miserably. I jumped over obstacles such as Pronto. He shrieked and I screamed. To be honest, I didn't even know he was there.

"I got it! Fina- oof!" I bumped into something and fell to the ground. I groaned and sat up rubbing my head. My fall was surprisingly soft. I heard a second groan and turned my head to see Eli on the floor beside me. I gasped and helped Eli up. "Oh my gosh Eli I'm so, so sorry." He chuckled lightly and dusted off his pants and shirt.

"It's fine. You're pretty light." For some reason, I felt my cheeks redden. I'm pretty sure Eli blushed as well when the rest of the Gang snickered.

"What?" We asked in unison. Trixie covered her mouth, trying to hide her obvious smile.

"Nothing," they all replied in unison. I shrugged and went back up to my room. I'm pretty sure Eli was behind me as I headed to my room. I heard his door close. And I could've sworn I heard a scream. Albeit muffled...

I opened the door to my room and sighed. I was exhausted after that eraser chase. Now I just wanted to sleep. My slugs sat on my lap and snuggled into my stomach. I smiled to myself and quietly lulled myself to sleep.

Until I was punched in the gut. My Armashelt laughed at me as I groaned. It thought it was funny. It...

"Hey. I forgot to name you guys!" They looked at me excitedly, knowing being named meant an all new title. Slingers in Slugterra don't name their slugs. That is, until the newest Shane arrived. I kinda took a liking to naming slugs. Then you don't have to say, "Hey you."

"Okay. Uh, how about your genders? Let's see..."

I borrowed my Arachnet who didn't object to what I was doing. I examined it carefully. I took my Aquabeek in my other hand and examined that one as well. I'm not one to be a doctor or a professional at the body, but clearly, my Aquabeek was a gal. Quite clearly.

I jotted down the gender of my slugs after taking some time to 'explore' them. I looked thoughtfully at my list and shrugged. I guess I would randomize the names.

"Hey love- I mean guys! We're gonna watch a movie down here! Come join us!" Trixie called. My slugs bolted for the door and left me alone. I sighed and shrugged. Why the heck not?

Hi guys! I hope you didn't mind that this took two months to update. If you've been reading or looking at my personal book, "Citrus' Book", you would know that I have lots of stuff going on. Fortunately I have less than a month left of school! Whoo! I can hopefully update more in the next month or so. And if you can, please leave a comment about how I could start chapters! Thanks!
