Chapter two

*Two weeks later!*

Today was our last day in georgia! We spent most of our day hanging with family and got our families together and made a little last get together. After a few hours of hanging out with each other and our families, it was time for Matt, Chris, Abby and i to get to our flight that leaves in two hours. We got our lugage together and our parents drive us to the airport.

As we are half way there, i look over at my dad and saw a tear running down his face. It broke my heart to see my dad this way. I wipe away his tear and he smiles,"I've taught my daughter well, and now she's leaving." Said my dad,"I'm gonna miss you daddy." I said then he looks at me,"I'm gonna miss you more Jess." Said my dad holding my hand. I smile then he pays back attention to the road. I could tell that he was really sad about me moving all the way to California. I was gonna miss my dad a lot. He's been like my best bud. Ever since my mom died, we've been enseperable. I'm gonna miss him a lot.

We finally got to the airport and waited with Matthew, Christopher, Abby and their familes for our flight. After half an hour of waiting, our flight was finally ready.

"All flights for California are now boarding." Said a lady on the speacher.

Everyone got their luggage together and gave their parents hugs good bye. I looked at my dad, who was holding my suitcase. I give him a slight smile, then i began to cry. I ran to his arms and we hug. He started to slightly cry too. Which just made me cry even more,"I'm gonna miss ya jess." Said my dad,"I'll miss you too daddy, i'll skype you when ever i can." I said pulling away from our embrace,"I know, take care of your self, okay jess." Said my dad,"Okay." I said hugging him one last time,"Gosh this is the hardest thing that could ever happen to me...saying goodbye to my baby girl." Said my dad,"This is gonna be hard for me too." I said,"losing my best bud...i'm gonna miss you so much daddy." I said sobbing into his shoulder. My dad hugs me tighter then we let go of our embrace. I walk away just a few steps, turn around, and wave good bye to my dad. My dad waves back, then i go to my friends who were waiting at the gate. We waited in the line, gave our tickets to the women who was taking the tickets, and went on our flight.

We all convienietly sat by each other. I sat with Abby. Matthew and Chris sat by each other. Abby and i were watching a movie on the air plane tv. We were planing on watching a scary movie after we take off . we were looking through some movies to watch, when Abby gets a text. She takes out her phone and sees that it was Matt. And she was smiling,"Oh, what's up?" I asked nudging her in the shoulder,"Matt just asked me out!" Shouted Abby. Matt and chris look at us,"What you two?" Asked Chris,"Awe too cute." I said hugging Abby,"So that's a yes?" Asked Matt,"Yes." Said Abby then they both hug each other,"Wow, i didn't even know you two were so into each other, who's next? Me and Jess?" Asked chris,"Um, no, i like ya chris, but not like that." I said then we all chuckle,"Please turn off your phones and electronic devices." Said the lady on the speacher. We turn off our phones and set them in side of our bags. Matt and Abby talked for a little bit before the air plane takes off. Chris and i were talking too,"Man, i'm so happy for them." I said,"Yeah me too." Said Chris,"Man, they look too cute together." I said,"Yeah, they do." Said Chris then looks at me,"So are you excited for college?" Asked Chris,"Hell yeah." I said excited,"Me too." Said Chris,"But football's gonna be hard, with the scholarship and everything." Said Chris,"Yeah, but you're really good at football, don't worry, you'll do great." I said playfully slapping him on the shoulder,"What about you? Mrs. Violin protegie?" Asked Chris,"The scholarship isn't that bad, i just have to practice a few days a week and i gotta be in a class." I said,"what ever, now you got the real talent." Said Chris,"Awe, don't make me blush." I said cupping my hands around both of my cheeks. We both laugh.

"Will everyone please be sitting, we're about to take off." Said the lady in the speaker. We settle back into our seats. And buckle our seat belts. Abby and i talked for a little bit, about how Matt and her are going on a date when we get to California. After a few minutes of waiting, we finally take off. The feeling of being in the air, was amazing, but i couldn't say the same for Abby, she's scared of hieghts. But she pulled it together and now we're on an air plane. As the flight started to calm down, Abby and i decided to watch the conguring, which was scary as heck! Afer the movie was done, Abby had fallen a sleep, so i was just alone in my thoughts. I thought about how awesome it was gonna be in California!
