Chapter 22

"Just for tomorrow...right?"

Jungwon POV

I found it super weird that Sunghoon hyung suddenly wanted to switch seats, but since he ended up agreeing that it was only for tomorrow, I agreed wholeheartedly. Especially because the members would probably find it strange if I didn't.

I mean, it's not like Jae-in is my girlfriend or anything, I can't act too possessive of her. We're just good friends is all..right? Yeah..I liked her but that was all in the past, it doesn't mean anything.

That night, I went to sleep thinking about her and Sunghoon hyung, wondering what was up with their relationship. I had just found her, but in the dream she seemed to be drifting further and further out of reach. My reach?

I jolted awake, realising the sun had already started rising, and climbed down my bunk bed to get ready and wake the other members up. After almost throwing Heeseung off his bed, I went over to Jae-in's room.

Not wanting to be rude, I gently knocked on the door and waited. After awhile, when she didn't open the door, I called out to her.

"Jae-in! Are you dressed? If you're dressed I'm coming in!"

With no response, I decided to just give it a try. Closing my eyes just in case she wasn't dressed, I opened the door. Realising that she had already gotten up and was standing in front of me, I opened my eyes slowly.

"Good morning" She said, beaming up at me.

"Morning"

Afterwards, we went to the kitchen where the other members were already having breakfast. After we had some breakfast along with strawberries, I shoo-ed the members out the door with the manager behind us.

Right before we got the the door of the van, I passed Jae-in one of my bluetooth earpieces so that we could listen to the same music from my phone, which was a habit of ours since we've sat together for awhile, from the time she became an official member of Enhypen.

Smiling, she took it and put it in her ear. At least that way, it would still feel like we were sitting beside each other.

Since the drive to the HYBE building was pretty long, I had specially prepared a playlist to listen to, full of songs suited for long drives and late nights.

Although I didn't like to share my music as much as Jay hyung did, I felt comforted that Jae-in had once told me she enjoyed the playlist alot, and even downloaded some of the songs into her own playlist.

Jae-in POV
As I took my seat next to Sunghoon, he seemed to be slightly disturbed, staring at my ear. Did he want to talk or something?

"Do you want to talk.. or is it okay that I listen to music on the way?" I asked, just in case he wanted to talk instead.

Sunghoon POV

I said it was fine and that she could listen to her music when I realised that she only had one earpiece in, and her phone wasn't playing any music.

Wait a second...is that Jungwon's earpiece, I swear Jae-in uses airpods...? Jungwon only had one in his ear too, and it was the opposite side-

This probably doesn't mean anything though, I mean they probably just have the habit of sharing music since they always sit together... right?
