Chapter 19

As he nodded back to sleep, I went past Sunghoon was seemed frozen on the spot. He seemed to zone out a lot so I didn't think much of it, wanting to wash up asap so I could get on with the day.

Sunghoon POV

What the... since when were they that close anyway-

"Everyone upupup!" Our manager came into the room abruptly, snapping me out of my thoughts. I watched as I saw Jay roll off his bed, bringing his blanket along with his falling body.

"Ow.." I heard as he hit the floor. Guess it's on me to wake Heeseung up...

Jae-in POV
As I walked to the bathroom to wash up, I saw the manager walking over towards the room. Thank god he didn't see me just exit that same room, or else it would've been an interesting first day as assistant leader.

We had breakfast and scurried out into the car to head to the HYBE building. "Excited?" Heeseung leaned over to ask, an eager smile covering his face.

"Lil nervous too," I replied, resisting the urge to squeeze his cheek off. He noticed me looking over at his cheek and swiped at it.

"Do I have something on my face?"

"No it's just..." With that, I reached over and squished his cheek gently.

After putting my hand down, he put on a pout and angry eyebrows, saying pointedly, "I'm like 4 years older than you, you know."

Laughing out loud, I did it again.

"I know, but I am your assistant leader!"

"Fine..but only you, don't you dare tell the other members"

Agreeing quickly, I 'zipped' my mouth with my fingers to show him that his secret was safe with me. Maybe this Enhypen thing wouldn't be too bad after all.

We arrived at the building and started with a meeting about the new comeback as well as my debut and how everything would play out.

After a serious discussion on who should be the one doing the duet in Fever, we decided on Sunghoon and Ni-ki since their birthdays were super close yet they were super different people, which accurately represented the concept.

Jungwon and I were the runners-up, since we had the same birthday but were obviously of different genders, as well as being the two leaders. However, we decided that we could always do duets instead and that Sunghoon and Ni-ki should take this opportunity.

"So besides the comeback stage, Jae-in will have another separate debut stage before it, then after the comeback stage she'll have one duet with a member of her choice, to symbolise the joining of enhypen members."

While I was zoning out of the meeting, Jay coughed slightly, making me look up from the potted plant I had been staring at. Making eye contact with him, I nodded.

"So do I choose now?" I awkwardly said, noticing the room had fell silent.

"Yeah.. you could, unless you need time to think about it?"

I thought and weighed the options in my head and then made up my mind immediately.

"Then I'll do it with Sunghoon, his leg should heal by the time we need to perform and I owe him a duet anyway."
