Chapter 47
A/n
I have no idea why it was so hard for me to actually write this chapter. It took me several weeks just to try and find the words for this. Even now trying to figure out how to explain why it took so long for me to write it out is taking a ton of energy. I know it's a short chapter, so I'm really sorry, but my mental health is being super weird. I've been disassociating more and more each day, and sitting down to write made me nearly have panic attacks so I avoided it. Hope you guys enjoy this, not sure how long it'll be till I can push out the next chapter
          Love you always,

Kayla's PoV:

Damien and I stay pressed against each other and the counter for what feels like forever, just embracing each other's presence. I lean my head back against his chest and groan.  "I know you have stuff planned, but why can't we just stay here today?" I look up at him as I feel his chest vibrating from him chuckling.

"Because, Little One, I want you to actually be able to re-wear this outfit, I hear shreds aren't in season," my eyes go wide as he backs away from me and walks away. "Now, before we head out for the day, do we need to stop by your room to collect anything? Any sunglasses, chapstick, water?" I nod my head, wanting to make sure I have everything before we leave. Damien smiles and gathers up his things before reaching his hand out to me, “Shall we?”

“Thank you,” I say, grabbing his hand and allowing myself to be led down the hall and out through the front door. We peacefully walk the path back to the main building holding hands and enjoying the weather. I chuckle to myself quietly, because right now we look like a normal couple simply walking through a park.

It amazes me how much life has changed in the past two months of living at this academy. I have a solid group of friends, I'm starting to develop a healthy relationship and dynamic, and most importantly, I am learning and growing myself. I pull myself out of being lost in thought as we make our way up the stairs and to my dorm room. Opening the door for me, Damien gestures to have me walk through first.

"Thanks," I awkwardly say as I snap and finger gun past him. He laughs and follows behind me.

"Awkward as ever, are we, Little One?" I nod in response to his question, trying to embrace the dorky and goofy side of me today as to suppress the… other sides of me that want to come out and play. I shake the thoughts away and dart around my room gathering odds and ends. By the time I've piled odds and ends I'll need throughout the day, Damien has already grabbed a fanny pack and organizes everything inside of it. I thank him with a kiss on the cheek, and his arm snakes around my waist, "Is that everything?"

"Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure. If not I'll make due," I stumble through my words as I am ever aware of how close he is keeping me to his statuesque body. I shiver slightly from wild thoughts running through my mind and he smirks.

"Catch a chill, Little One? Or is something else… affecting you?"

"Nope uh… no chill… everything is," I finger gun again, in no way helping my case, "A-Okay. Uh, how long again till the-the said uh, said meeting?" He runs the pad of his thumb across my bottom lip, almost tracing out where he previously said he would be biting.

"I'd say about thirty eight and a half more to go. What's wrong, Little One, can't take the heat?" Rather than answer his question, I bury my face into his chest, wanting to hide myself from existence, "Come on, we don't want to be late to our own fun day." He gently pulls my face away from his body and cups it in his hands, softly pulling me in for a quick kiss.

With that, Damien and I walked out of the room, down the stairs, and out the front to the parking lot where he kept his car. I walk slightly mindlessly towards his car, remembering where he had parked it previously, when I felt my wrist being tugged into a different direction.

"As cute as it is that you know where my car is already, we aren't using that today," Damien chuckles as he walks me towards a  gorgeous piece of machinery.

"No fricken way!"

"Aw, cat got your tongue, Princess? I don't seem to recall you struggling to swear out of that filthy little mouth before," He chuckles as he walks closer to the perfect Ducati motorcycle parked in front of us. I rush over to the beautiful bike, admiring what had been one of my dream vehicles, "I assume you're a fan of motorcycles?"

I chuckle, looking up at him, from my crouched position to admire the bike, "I might look like I'm just a VW Bug princess, but there's more to me than meets the eye," I bite my lip and he tangles his hand into my hair. In one smooth motion he has ruined my panties and any effort I put into doing my hair as he grips onto it from the back of my head.

"I could get used to this view, Little One," with that- he pulls me up gently but full of power by my hair, and slams his lips onto mine. I arch my back into his touch, clearly giving him any and all permissions he was looking for. I break away to catch my breath and he kisses a line from my jaw to my earlobe, "Kayla, you're driving me wild."

I giggle and bite my lip, "Feelings mutual Damien, but as I recall, we still have thirty-eight hours left."

"Fucking hell." Yeah he could say that again.
