Hello Again!

Hey guys gals and all the sexy in betweens!

So so so very much has happened since I have last posted on this story and I would just like to talk about it for a moment. Let me just say first of all, to my readers, thank you. I have not posted or updated since August, and yet I consistently get notifications on it or messages from you guys just absofuckinglutely pouring out every single ounce of love and support you have for my story and I could not thank you all enough. You're the reason why I write and you're the reason I am so passionate about what I do.

Originally I knew I was going to take a while posting this next chapter because this is where I will be writing the contract scene, which with all of you reading to here by now, is what I consider the most basic and important part of a dynamic. This is where you lay out the boundaries, the ground rules, and even just set up healthy guidelines for a successful dynamic/relationship (not to reference the horrible movie that so very inaccurately portrayed our community, but Christian grey throwing in date nights was actually a really sweet moment that I don't think people realize can be in a lot of contracts). So writing this chapter has all the serious vibes and intense responsibility weighing on me and it has taking obviously a while to put it out. I'm actually going to be working on the finishing touches within the next few weeks to push it out, but when I did I wanted you all to have an uninterrupted chapter without an author's note so I wanted to get that out of the way now.

Another reason it has taken so long to post is because this book originally started as a place for me to heal from my trauma, to face the demons I had buried away inside of me and to try to bring to light emotions I denied ever feeling in the first place. However that's not where I'm at anymore. I have worked through so much of my trauma, I am the healthiest I've been in years, and I'm engaged to the love of my life who has actually stood by my side as we are building a case against my abusers. With everything going on, I wanted to continue to face my problems head on rather than turning to writing, which in that moment I felt like was a way to avoid growing.

However, not only has this book helped me, it has helped so many of you guys in some way shape or form and you truly have all become people I love dearly. There will never be a time where I ditch y'all or leave forever, and no matter how long it takes, I want to finish this novel with you all and hope you might join me as I dive into new books as well. Trust me, Damien and Kayla are always going to have the biggest place in my heart, but I hope you will all join me whenever it comes time to close their chapter and open someone else's.
