Attention, Attention.
Hello all, keeping this note short--
                              I. Generic y/n name cue has been changed into (...) for smoother name input. Noticed how much I read "y/n" first instead of said handpicked name.
II. New transitions added.
III. Overhauling chapter titles soon.
IV. Planning on polishing the first chapters, since the current writing drastically differentiates from my former.
Also the y/n term has been dragged through way too many different stories- and we here on Village of sorrows, dear friends, are not falling into the same pit.
                              Lots of things planned.
                              Love you always,
~saggehh

Chapter XX.
Wordcount: 9656
2 hours later// Location: Ceremony Site.
You munched on a piece of warm bread and tightly held your gun, boots crushing against the snow covered ground of the Ceremony Site.
Looking around, you noticed a certain presence missing. A familiar carriage and lack of a greeting struck you as odd. The half eaten piece of bread was lowered from your mouth and you turned over to your blonde companion. "Someone is missing."
Ethan, who had finally found a backpack to secure more of his blunt weapons, detached his shotgun from the strapped sides.
He had offered you to take a shot with it an hour ago, and even showed you how to do it by shooting at a stack of tin cans earlier. Sadly, the deadly recoil; that managed to knock some throwback to even his skilled form, made him quickly paddle back on that idea. 'Yeah, let's hold back on the shotgun.' He had said when taking notice of the baffled look on your face.
The wind howled against one of the gated doors to the left. "Our buddy merchant?" He mumbled in reply, looking around the premise with raised eyebrows. "That's strange."
You took the looted key from Donna out of your satchel and clicked it into the two-winged key he blindly handed over while scanning around. "Hope the Duke's okay."
"Hm." He walked over to the gated door leading to the resevoir and hummed as he watched you stick the three-winged key into the lock. "Maybe we will stumble upon him soon." The key was rotated until the gate clicked, scraping snow under the metal frame as it fell open with a high rusted creak. "He seems to pop up around town, I'm sure he's doing fine."
Ethan took the protective role of walking in through the gate first, grey eyes scouting out the grim land while you were busy yanking the key out of the frosted lock. A narrow path lead down to a small shack further on.
With a final yank the three-winged key was pulled out, the delicate and intricate design resting in your palm. Making sure to whisk out any danger looming in the path, Ethan had already walked ahead.
You turned around and slipped the key back in your satchel before securing the handgun and taking after him. "Right,-- WATCH OUT!"
A larger than life, colossally massive beast, busted through the wooden wall at the end of the path, lunging successfully at Ethan and dragging him until the blonde hit the freezing artic ground with his back which knocked all air out of him.
Your heart practically stopped at the sight- but you immediately began running down the path. Shakily aligning onto the massive head as you closed in with the gun, you narrowed your eyes with utmost precision, lacing a finger on the trigger and pulling it multiple times.
