5 minutes later// Location: Second Windmill, Reservoir.

You wiped numerous water drops from your forehead, skin glistening from cold sweat.

"See?" Ethan panted, wiping a rolling drop from your temples, "We made it."

You were standing near the entrance of the second windmill, a cool chilly breeze seemingly worsening your shaking condition.

Moreau had just viciously wiped all across the deadly terrain, leaving the submerged houses with broken roofs and pieces of rotten wood scattered over the place.

"(....), we just need to find a way to drain the water. That's pretty much it." Ethan gently spoke, an attempt to soothe and encourage the both of you. He didn't want to say anything, but his heartbeat was practically matching the tremor of your body. "As soon as the water's gone, we can get out of here."

You gave your blonde companion a firm nod and took a deep breath. "I know, I understand."

Your stoic expression had Ethan's cold lips curl up in satisfaction.

Not that anyone would suffer from the destruction. People would be fools to return to the village, no matter how much they missed their homes.

Seeing the murky water drown what would be a bustling part of the town made you wonder what everything looked like before it went to sticks.

20 minutes later// Location: Sluice Gate, Resevoir.

It had taken the both of you a tedious amount of time.

Collecting all the needed items to get the control panel in the sluice gate to work was a pain. That was both literally and physically, for the muscles in your arms were still sore from how you had clung to Ethan like your life; which actually was on the line at that moment- depended on it earlier. The zipline you both had to descend towards the first windmill was a hellish ride. Narrowly avoiding the grotesque jaws of Moreau when he lunged up out of the water and had his carnivorous mutated mouth snap shut a few inches below your legs-

And then that damned puzzle which wasn't actually that hard to solve, but just plain annoying when both of you were so out of breath.

'No no, the puzzle goes like this. This switch-'

'Ethan that's the "off" button. You shut the whole thing down.'

'... Right, so."

But that was a few minutes ago and over with. Now you stood staring at the lake which was to be drained in a bit.

A drop of water rolled down your temple. You didn't know if it was actual water from the overly humid atmosphere or sweat from how sickeningly cold it was.

"Hey."

His voice took you out of your mind, making you notice that you had been staring at the worn planks underneath your soaked boots for a solid minute now.

"There something interesting going on there?" Ethan asked, his eyebrows knitting together at the blank look on your face.

"No, just thinking."
