Don't Give Up (A Klaroline Fanfiction)

Chapter 3 - Part 1

oh boy.... I am TERRIBLY sorry for not updating! It's just that I have NO IDEA where I was going with this so I put it at the back of my mind. Now that I have some time, I was able to write a VERY short part of a chapter. I would usually just post the whole chapter but I feel really bad about not posting any new parts so here's the beginning of the next chapter.

Chapter 3 - Part 1

CAROLINE

I woke up and stretched not realizing where I was. Then I remembered everything and crying. Suddenly Klaus ran in and was holding me and comforting me until I eventually stopped crying.

“He cheated on me! And he bit me! I. Am. Going. To. Kill. Him.” I yelled angrily starting to sob all over again.

KLAUS

I held her as she let it all out. I knew she was in pain and I knew that there was nothing that I could do about it. I laid her down and laid next to her stroking her hair as she finally calmed down.

“Love, you're in Italy! Forget about him and focus on the present.” I murmured soflty in her ear. She sighed but smiled and turned to me.

“Thank you Klaus. Thank you for getting me away. I couldn’t live there and deal with his unfaithfulness…” Caroline said her eyes watering again. As a stray tear fell down, I wiped it away and held her face.

“I would do anything for you Caroline love.” I said honestly. She put her hand on mine and smiled.

“So thank you for that.” She replied. We were just lying there smiling at one another when she leaned slightly forward.

“Here’s your reward.” She whispered then kissed me. I felt everything freeze as I kissed her back with a passion I've never experienced before. She pulled away but I wouldn’t have that. Leaning forward again, I kissed her even more passionately. I moved my body so it was over hers.

“Klaus, be my distraction?” she murmured seductively. I smirked.

“Of course love.”

We woke up and decided that we should get a move on and sight see Italy. My phone started ringing and I answered it knowing it was Stefan.

“Stefan! How lovely to hear from you! I presume my hunter is alive?” I ask in a good mood. Caroline sat down next to me but kept holding my hand.

"Actually, that's why I'm calling. Elena killed him." Stefan said. I took a deep breath and focused on Caroline's hand that was rubbing mine.

"Well find another one! Oh, and has she started to have the hallucinations yet? I've experienced them, but times five. They drive you so insane that you want to kill yourself." I said. Caroline was staring at me conflicted when she suddenly grinned.

"She never said anything yet about having any. And we do have another hunter; Jeremy." Stefan replied.

After our little conversation, Caroline was pacing the room.

"Caroline, love, what's wrong?" I asked getting off the chair and walking towards her. She growled at me and pointed at me angrily causing me to stop.

"You used my pain to your advantage! I hate you! Now I'm across the country from my best friend who needs me, and you're not going to do anything about it!" screamed Caroline. I froze in my spot when I realized why she was so angry.

"Love, I most certainly did not take advantage of you. I was going to leave without you, then you TOLD me to bring you. I just did what you asked. As to Elena, she should be fine as soon as Jeremy starts growing his mark." I explained slowly inching forward. She looked at me uncertainly before sighing and plopping onto the couch. It was obvious she didn't know what to do, so I gave her some options.

"Love, I can bring you back home or you can stay here for a while longer." I said. She looked at me.

"I don't know Klaus..." she whispered with tears in her eyes. I was about to sit down next to her when she dashed into the room and slammed the door shut. Thanks to my amazing hearing, I could hear her sobbing. I walked to the door and was about to knock when I realized that maybe she just needed time to adjust. Yeah, she just needed time to adjust to her new life.
