Chapter 3: Weird Supplies From Effie

       Carol's expression was blank. Since when did this occur to her? How come when she was young, this hadn't happen to her? Carolyn needed answers right now. Carol climbed up a tree trying to figure out what just happened. 

        "It's alright," Carol said to herself. "this is just a misunderstanding."

         Carolyn looked east and she could see a beautiful orangey pink sunset. What a marvelous sight it was to see. Carol decided to take out her sleeping bag and rest for the night. Carolyn thought the tree she was going to sleep on was familiar.

         Carol woke up and she saw the wonderful sun rising. Carol decided to search food inside her huge backpack McKenna has given her when they saw each other yesterday. Carolyn found her canteen filled with water, she took out the steak Effie brought her, and took a piece of cookie since she had a sweet tooth for desserts and all kinds of sweets. Carolyn climbed down and took out her matches. She gathered up sticks to make fire. She bent down and lit the pile of sticks with a match. Soon, she felt her hands on such warm fire. Carol cooked her steak tender and juicy. The scent was an incredible smell to sniff. She hoped she wouldn't attrack mutts or anything to her. Caroline distinguished the fire with the water in her canteen but remembered to save some for herself. Caroline chewed her steak firmly. It tasted fantastic. Thank you Effie and McKenna, she thought. Then Carol ate her cookie. The chocolate topped the cookie the most. Then drank her water. She decided to go to the river to freshen up and fill her canteen.

           Carolyn went back to the river since she remembered part of the woods. Carol splashed cold water onto her face and sighed in relief. After that, she filled her canteen up. Since she had another canteen, she decided to fill that up too. Carol got up and began to think to herself about the tree. That was the tree where Careers chased Katniss!, Carol exclaimed. She ran back to where she slept and saw a dead body. It was a badly stunged girl from District 4. She bent down and looked at her with the stings she received from tracker jackers. Carol used her device again and contacted the Capitol. She hoped it was McKenna again but it wasn't. It was Lizzie.

          "Lizzie from the Capitol speaking." Lizzie spoke in her business voice.

          "Hello Lizzie," Carol greeted. "it's Carolyn Faye. I found another body."

          "Helpers and more supplies for you are on their way." Lizzie announced.

          "Alright. Thank you." Said Carol.
 
          The plane that she saw was back again. Helpers rushed to where Carolyn was and picked up the body. Edwin, one of the assistants, gave her a few supplies this time. Carol was glad Effie wasn't going crazy. But when she saw what was inside, it was a vanilla and caramel scented perfume. What was going on with Effie? Meh. At least she had something to make her smell nice. Carol watched the helpers load the body in the plane. Than again, it took off. Carol peeked in more into the bag to see what else Effie had brought her. Perfume, soap, shampoo, a pink towel, fresh clothes to wear, socks, shoes, sandals, makeup, food, and a few emergency supplies. This made her huge bag even heavier than before. But Caroline could still carry it. How could such a small bag fit all these huge things?, Carol was confused. Talk about Capitol bags. Carolyn hoped to find more boddies so her adventure could end. She loved being outdoor but home is way better than being here. Carol decided to rest for now. Her legs were sore and tired. She'll continue when she can catch the pace of her breath.
