Chapter 25: District 5

The first thing Carol noticed in District 5 was the damn that the rebels bombed. Carol smiled. The Peacekeepers deserved to die from what they did to the citizens of 5.

"I love the powerhouses here." Carolyn told Matilda.

"This is the talent of District 5 alright." Matilda smiled as she explained it to Carol.

As Carol walked around 5, she saw busy people with electrical devices. District 5 would more likely suit Beetee since he won the games by using an electrical device, Carol thought. But since he's got the brains, maybe he should stay at District 3 instead.

"So what do you like about 5 Carol?" Sasha, a camera woman, asked as she adjusted the camera to Carolyn.

"The powerplant." Carol smiled for the camera.

"So do I." Sasha said agreeing with Carolyn.

"May I look around 5 Matilda?" Carol asked hoping the answer would be yes.

"Remember the time when you almost got lost and we had to find a new girl?" Matilda asked mad.

"I promise I won't do that again!" Carolyn protested.

"Final," Matilda began. "but if you get lost," She warned. "we won't be looking for you."

"Thank you Til-Til!" Carolyn rushed to hug Matilda.

"Stop calling me that!" Matilda yelled madly.

"Sorry, Matilda." Carol smiled as she went on exploring District 5.

When Carol arrived to 5's huge town, she saw Foxface and the 74th male tribute, Oscar. Carol decided to greet the two.

"Hey, there," Carol greeted Oscar and Foxface. But neither of them responded. "hello." Carol said again. But nobody answered her.

Finally, Foxface was the first one to speak. She said, "Hi."

"Hey." Carol smiled.

Then Oscar spoke.

"Hello." Oscar croaked out.

"Nice to meet you." Carol grinned at Oscar.

"What brings you to District 5?" Both Foxface and Oscar said at the same time. They both looked at each other and blushed.

"Well," Carol continued. "I've got some filming to do in every district. It's for some Capitol project or movie."

"That sounds wonderful." Foxface spoke.

"It does." Oscar replied agreeing with Foxface.

"Thanks." Carol smiled.

Carol heard a familiar call which meant Carol's week was up in 5. "I better get going."

"We'll see you again." Foxface and Oscar said as Carolyn vanished with the crew.
