part ten

We came up with a plan to end this.
    The school was a perfect place to stage our trap. But, first we had to get cleaned up. Josh grabbed the lost and found.
"okay guys make sure that there is no blood on you," he said while digging through the box. I laughed, "who wore this stuff? It smells disgusting."
  I grabbed what I could find and went to change.

The bathrooms made me uncomfortable. I wanted to change somewhere else.
I closed the door to the classroom and started to get undressed. I was missing my mom and my dad. When you think you are going to die many thoughts and memories cross your mind.

I remembered nights when my family was all together in the living room watching horror movies and eating popcorn.
Or when kate and I were little we would share a bag of skittles on the swings in the park. It would be so hot out our fingers would be stained.
when Simon and I met in middle school he would always poke me with his pencil. I was so annoyed, but now I'm really glad he did it.
Deena and I became locker buddies in freshman year and Sam used to talk to me when she still lived in shadyside.

When I got finished dressing a realization hit me. I grabbed my old clothes and ran quickly out of the classroom.
Simon saw me and asked, "hey why are you running?"

I didn't answer him and just kept running in the same direction. When I reached him I dropped the clothes I had in my hands.
I confessed, "I love you simon."
His head tilted, he looked confused.

"I don't want to die without you knowing that," I spoke.

"you are my constant. Even through everything it's been you. When we met it was you. When my boyfriend broke up with me it was you. It's always been you." I was about to continue but I was cut off by him grabbing my face softly and planting a kiss on my lips.
I put my hands around his shoulders and kiss him back.

"what the hell," I heard someone say.
I turned it was kate.

I pulled away from simon and put my hand in her direction, "this is not what it looks like."
Simon looked at me and smile, "ah yes it is."
I elbowed him in the stomach and he winced.

He said through groans, "I'm confused do you like me or not."
Josh walk out of the the restroom she was in.

My mouth dropped open. She shook her head, "barely first base."
Then, Sam and Deena walked out.

Simon grinned even more, "so did we all go to pound town."
He said, "me too."

I put my hands in the air and said, "ugh gross."

After that we got our plan in motion.

We were going to spread sam's blood around the school to lure the killers straight to us and then we would kill them.
It's our only shot into getting rid of them.

I was spreading blood around the school with Kate. It was silent between us. You could only hear the clattering of the mops.
"do you like him," I asked.
She turned to me and shrugged.

she asked, "do you like simon."
I smiled at the ground and said, "yeah I think I do."

She said, "well then I'm happy for you."
"you deserve it."

"thank you kate. And whatever you decide I support you too," I said. She grinned at me.
Kate said jokingly, "are you getting all sappy on me."

I spoke, "no way you know I don't do that shit. All I'm saying is that your happiness is my happiness."

She looked at me, "always."

We were finished doing our part so we needed to head back. I said, "let's join the others."

We walked back and she asked, "for old times sake?"
She held out her hand and I knew.

we got back to our friends.
When we were waiting we heard simon yell.

  He said, "I saw ruby. She is so sexy but freaking crazy." I spoke, "dude that's literally my aunt."
 
"oh- right woops."

I heard her angelic voice coming from down the hall. She was singing the tune that they were talking about.
I looked down the next hall and saw the nightwing killer running towards the bathroom.

"I think they are all here," deena said.

"skull mask freak to your right," I said while trying to shut my eyes.
Truthfully I was terrified. I can't imagine how it might have been for Sam.

  They all entered the bathroom.

  Sam came crawling out of the vent and yelled, "go go."
Simon and Josh went and latched the lock on the door. I heard them pounding on the door yearning to come out.

  The strong scent of lighter fluid filled my nose.
     Deena said, "give me the lighter."
I reached into my pocket and threw it to her.

  She lit it and threw the fire were the fluid was.

  wails and cries came from inside the bathroom as the fire irrupted. We all huddled together.
I felt simon's fingers intertwine with mine. He look and me and said, "it's okay."

I looked at kate as she was finding comfort in Josh, but I held her hand.
  Trying to block out the screams was hard. Although, eventually they died out and it was quiet once more. My breathing slowed down gradually.

We needed to check if there was any signs of life in the bathroom. Deena opened the door. It looked insane. Splatters of remains everywhere and the room was smokey from the fire.
  We were using fire extinguishers.

  they are dead.
       it's over.

I put my hand on Josh's shoulder, "there gone."
We all cheered. Simon hugged me and kissed my cheek. I laughed loudly and wrapped my arms around him tightly.

  But, I noticed something. The remains were moving.
 
  no way.

I shouted, "guys look."

We all started to back up.
