part nine

I drove the ambulance to the area of the accident. My eyes searched the road. I was still paranoid of the killers finding us.
Kate was sitting in the passengers seat.

"hey you okay," she asked.
I sighed, "yes just peachy. I just found out my mom has been lying to me my whole life and we are being hunted. I am having the best day ever."
A small smile appeared on her face.

Sam yelled from the back, "right here I see it."
  I said while turning the car to park, "alrighty."

we all got out and started to grab flashlights.

"you look ridiculous," Deena said while watching us put on flashlights. I was putting mine around my head and said, "I am not tripping on anything if we are forced to run for our lives."
when we were done getting our gear, we followed sam down to where it happened.

she was trying to retrace her steps.

"so um I got out of the car here, and uh I was crawling and my nose was bleeding. And I felt something," she was cut off and her hand slipped down into a hole.
  We all went down on our hands and knees and started reaching down into the hole.
Sam said, "guys I feel something."
She was pulling something out.

  no way.
   It was chains.
"this is so messed up," I heard simon say.

Deena was studying the chains.
  She read what the lock said.

         "fier."
I said, "this is we're they buried sarah."
kate said, "great and Sam disturbed her grave."

simon said,"guys what if we just put it back."
we all shook our heads at his comment.
Josh said, "actually that might work."

  My eyebrows raised. Josh got up and was watching for us.
simon asked, "do we have anything to wrap it in."
I got up and grabbed a jacket from out of the wrecked car.

  Simon was wrapping up the bones.

I heard Josh faintly say, "guys I think something is out here."
kate said, "let's hurry okay"

Simon and Deena were putting the final touches on the burial. He whispered, "okay okay we are sorry."
  We all just stood there for a second.
"okay what now," I asked.

  Then we heard Josh yelling.

A tall man with a bag around his head carrying an axe was coming straight towards us.
I recognized him.

the nightwing killer.
the one that killed abigail.

I screamed and started running. But, Sam looked like a deer in headlights. She wouldn't move.
Deena grabbed her right when he was about to hit her with the axe.
 
All of us dashed for the ambulance
Kate got into he front seat and started the car while me and simon were shutting the doors.

I leaned against the wall of the abundance still in fear.
Eventually that fear turned into anger.
"that piece of shit killed my aunt. What is happening," I said shaking my head.
  Deena said, "well obviously our plan didn't work."

There was silence for a second.
Josh began, "it doesn't make sense. The killer just ran by me and went for Sam."

I put my hand over my mouth, "oh my god."

"the killers they want sam," I said in disbelief.
Deena looked at me, "no no the killers came after kate and simon and the rest of us."
  Kate stopped the ambulance.
"the killer was not coming after us," she said.
"they were coming after this," kate said while unzipping simon's shirt.

Blood stained the shirt.
Simon said, "yeah yeah he was trying to find the shirt, it's like jaws dude."
  Deena said, "then why did he come after daphne and I."

"because I got blood on my skirt- and deena look at your shoe," I spoke.
She looked down slowly.
