Nick and I ate the cookies and he left shortly after.
I had a moment of weakness and I just needed someone with me. It was getting dark and almost time for color war.
The dinner bell had gone off and I knew I should be there. But, I really didn't want to go.
I worked up the courage and decided I was going to go in and get some food, then eat somewhere else. I just couldn't stand to eat around anyone right now.

I walked down to the mess hall to get some food.
The lawn was empty. The fire was blazing and it was still hot out even if the sun was setting behind the clouds in the distance.
I forgot to write elise back, I figured she wouldn't have time to read it since what happened with mom.
I knew my sister would drop everything to help our mom.
I opened the door slowly and everyone turned their eyes to me.
I kept my head up and proud like no one was looking in my direction. Almost like I didn't notice any of them, but I did. I noticed all of them.
I grabbed a plate of food and hurried so I wouldn't have to be there any longer.
