Info: After Fives death scene

Fox pov.

He flinched under the captains cold stare, hatred burning in his gaze. He looked down and felt the intensity surge through the air. "You killed him Fox, Great job" Rex's unsettling calm voice struck at his heart. "I'm sorry, it had to be done captain. He was a fugitive". Rex clenched his fists as his whole being filled with fury. "Had to be done?!" He yelled. "Fives was one of the best soldiers I had! He was one of the recruits of the 501st! He was a better soldier then you could ever be!" Fox's features changed "really Rex your going there? He's the one that almost assassinated the Chancellor! And he had you and general Skywalker trapped in a ray shield! A good soldier indeed!" Sarcasm dripped off the the sentence. Rex suddenly snapped his helmet off, throwing it across the room a new glint in his eyes. Before he could react Rex was on top of him throwing punches at his face. His helmet took much of the blows but it still hurt. He had to hand it to the older clone, he could still punch. A door opened and a sharp voice cut through the air "Get off Rex!" The generals voice boomed. "B-" "Now Rex!" Rex got off of him slowly and Fox sat up. "Rex I have to punish you for your actions. I know your grieving but that's no excuse to attack another clone." Rex's gaze swept to the floor, Anger being replaced by embarrassment and realization. However he did not apologize to Fox for he felt no regret in the action. "Go to the barracks now and wait" Skywalker commands sternly. "Yes sir" he says and walks off. Fox looked at the general. "Thank you sir" he says standing up. "That's not normal Rex" Skywalker sighs "honestly I never seen him like that. Just you killed one of his best friends and part of his battalion". Fox sighed "I know sir. I'm sorry. It was my duty to both serve the republic and protect you. Fives was a fugitive who was to be hunted down". "I understand fox. Just I would avoid the 501st. Speaking of them I got to go talk to them". "Alright general thanks for the advice. My men and I will be leaving soon." Skywalker straightened up "alright Fox. Good luck and may the force be with you". Fox saluted and Anakin bowed and walked out the door leaving a swoosh echoing in the room. Fox rubbed his temples, a sign he was stressed. Suddenly his coms beeped. It was on a secure channel, no one but the chancellor knew about. "Hello General" Fox greeted in a hushed voice. "Hello Commander" the chancellor replied. "I heard what happened and think Captain Rex is unstable. You have your new orders. Go eliminate captain Rex. But make sure you aren't caught and that no one finds out we discussed this". Fox's eyes widen as pain flared on his head. Good soldiers follow orders, good soldiers follow orders his mind kept screaming at him. "Yes sir" he says sitting up. First I got to ditch my armor. He thought for a moment and began walking around looking for the armory. The clones armor lined up perfectly, all the dents and marks highlighted by the positions. The blue on each ones a symbol of pride and brothership to each clone. He quickly took off his armor and tucked it away grabbing the vacant armor and throwing it on. He felt uncomfortable, a ominous almost traitor vibe to his own men, swelled in his chest. Good soldiers follow orders. After a while of wondering around Fox finally made it to the captains door. His blaster was in its holster at his side. He decided to listen to see if anyone was in there. He went up against the door and pressed his ear to it, the cool surface going through his gloves. Closing his eyes he focused on any sound beyond the door. Sobbing, almost pain filled wails where heard. He almost felt bad, but his mission lied here. The creaked open the door silently to see Rex, on his knees completely shattered. All of the older clones self control disappeared as he was left alone. Fox could relate, he'd done it himself. All higher ranking officers had a barrier. When it broke there was nothing to hold back all the emotions, thought and regrets that raced in. He strolled over his armor making a slight 'thump' on the floor. The captain didn't notice too wrapped up in grief. "I'm sorry fives" he muttered. Fox stopped for a moment 'I'm sorry rex' he mouthed before pulling out his blaster and aiming it at his head. Goodbye captain.

A/N okay some info might be off. I haven't seen the full episode of fives death just the death himself. Good soldiers follow orders is a reference to Tup. The clones can't control what they're told because of that chip remember. So yup I know this isn't what happened to Rex but my creativity sparked. Took me forever to write it.
