The hero for everyone

Chapter 14

As the dust cleared, Shoto could be seen outside the arena, laying on his back with a pained expression, and Izuku on his knee, panting and with a broken hand.

"AND THE WINNER IS IZUKU MIDORIYA!" yelled Midnight and the crowd erupted into cheers.

Endeavor just wanted to go in and hug him, just like he wanted to go yell 'SHOTOOOOO' when he used his fire, but he knew that he had no right to do so. 

So he just smiled at Shoto and walked away.

Shoto, now free of all the vengeance and everything, lied on the ground as he saw his father smile at him. For the first time, he took notice of the pain and sadness in his eyes. He was actually regretting everything he did.

'Maybe... one day...' he thought as he closed his eyes.

When he opened it, he saw Izuku offering his hand to him.

He smiled and took it.

"Thank you Midoriya," said Shoto.

"It's alright Todoroki kun," said Izuku with a smile.

"No, really, thank you for everything," he said.

"Anything for a friend," said Izuku as pulled him up.

'Friend... haven't had those in a long time.'

Finally, it was time for awards, and Midnight announced the winners as the podiums came out of the ground.

In third place were Bakugo and Kaminari, on second Shoto and on first, Izuku.

"And to give the medals..." started Midnight, as the next moment the door burst open.

"I AM HERE WITH THE MEDALS!" said All Might with a giant grin.

Everyone else was cheering for him, however, in Midoriya's head only one thing was going on.

---A few minutes earlier---

"Is he fine?" asked Izuku panicking. He and Ingenium were on extremely good terms and had hung out with each other on multiple occasions. When Hawks was not available, Tensei was Izuku's only hope during a boring party.

He and Ochako were currently talking to Iida in a hallway.

"I don't know much. All I know is that he was attacked by a villain. So I am going to visit him right now," said Tenya, nervous and slightly sweating.

"Okay..." said Izuku solemnly.

While Izuku was thinking, All Might had given everyone else the medal.

"Izuku Shonen, you showed great strength, both physical and that of character. You're already a great hero," said All Might as he gave him the medal and hugged him.

"Thank you All Might," said Izuku with a smile.

1-A was sitting in the class and talking.

Everyone noticed the change in Todoroki. His expression was still the same, however, instead of the previous coldness, he was now warm and friendly.

"I didn't even make it to the final round!" cried Mineta.

"Well not many of us did. Some of us didn't even get to the second round," said Sato.

"I didn't really do well," said Momo to Jirou and Mina.

"What are you talking about? You got to the final round, that's great," said Jirou.
