Jongho was in the chips aisle and was browsing to see which packet he would pick. He grabbed the Lays barbecue and headed to the candy aisle. Just as he entered, his eyes came upon a tall brunette. He stopped when he saw Mingi picking a bag of gummy bears and turned around to hide in the aisle next to his.
"Oh there's no way this is an accident" Jongho scoffed and looked at his grocery basket, maybe he could head to the checkout counter and leave in time for the younger not to see him? yeah probably.
"Hey" A deep voice next to his ear made him jump and walk backwards. In his hurry, he tripped on his feet and fell backwards. Just as he thought he would hit the floor, a pair of strong arms were felt wrapped around his waist and back.
"Be careful!" Mingi's eye were wide from the fear of seeing his friend hurt.
"I'm okay" Jongho stood back up and readjusted his clothes, Mingi's arms were still resting on his waist.
"You should be careful, I won't always be there to save you"
"It's alright, I only fall when you're with me" Jongho scoffed as he removed the other's hands making him chuckled.
"Is it because you fall for me every time I'm near?"
"More like you distract me enough for me to fall on my face" Mingi laughed and gently pushed the younger.
"What are you doing here, Mingi? It's not a coincidence that you happen to be shopping here at this exact time?"
"Of course not, when you said you were going grocery shopping I thought that I should get here and ask you to come to my house"
"Why would I go?"
"Because it's raining!! We have to watch movies under the covers and eat junk food" Mingi whined and held onto Jongho's hand.
"Are you eight?? We're adults, we don't do that"
"There's no age to do that, come on!"
"Fine, I don't have anything else to do"
"Yay! Come on, let's pay and head to my place" Jongho rolled his eyes but followed the boy nonetheless.
After they had paid and left the store, Jongho got into his car and followed Mingi's all the way to his house. The ravenette parked his car and looked at the house in awe.
"Wow, you don't seem much older than me and you already have your own house?"
"Oh yeah, my parents own a successful chain of ice-cream shops and I manage some of them" Jongho nodded his head, this boy kept on surprising him. The two men entered the house, Mingi led them to the living room and plopped on his couch. He grabbed the remote and started browsing Netflix for movies to watch.
"Come on sit down, I won't bite. Not unless you ask me to" He smirked and made Jongho roll his eyes.
"What's your go to rainy day movie?" Mingi asked.
"I don't have one"
"Why am I not surprised" the brunette shook his head but a smile was tugging at his lips.
"I usually go for a Harry Potter movie or-"
"Let's do that, I've never seen them"
"Not once?? Not even the first?" Jongho shook his head no. Mingi started playing the movie before grabbing a blanket and laying it on top of them both. The Harry Potter theme song started and he felt the usual thrill and nostalgia he'd always feel when hearing it.
The rain was pouring, the room was dark from the weather and his house was dimly lit, making the atmosphere feel extra cozy and even better, he was with the best company he thought as he looked at Jongho who smiled at him making him feel warm inside.

During the movie, with all the changes of position, Mingi's thighs were now resting half on top of Jongho's legs who were straightened towards the coffee table. Both boys had noticed and both boys pretended not to. After two hours that went by surprisingly quickly, the end credits appeared and Jongho repositioned himself on the couch.
"Wow, I loved it"
"I knew it! It's such a great film"
"It really is" Jongho sighed and kept on thinking about the movie for a while.
"I should get going but thanks for the movie and all. I really enjoyed myself, my day went a lot better than I thought it would be"
"Glad I could help!" Mingi smiled and helped Jongho find his belongings. He knew he didn't want the younger to leave so soon but if he wanted him to come back, he knew he shouldn't push him to stay today.
"Alright well, see you soon Mingi" Jongho was standing outside just on the other side of the door.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah" The ravenette smiled and lightly squeezed the other's arm before turning around and getting in his car.
"Bye bye" Mingi waved goodbye, sad to see his friend leaving.
