One year later.
"I started doubting you two would ever make it" Seonghwa rolled his eyes and let the boys in.
"Sorry, Jongho forgot the gift when we were already half way there" Mingi rolled his eyes but quickly winced when he felt a smack on his head.
"Excuse me, you left it on the dining room table and forgot to bring it but thankfully, I remembered" Jongho scoffed.
"Yeah half way here" Mingi whispered and looked at Seonghwa who chuckled before closing the door.
"Everyone is here already" Mingi smiled and went to greet everyone.
"Hongjoong, good to see you. Yunho, I saw you last weeks so" Mingi dodged yet another smack and went to put the wine bottle in the fridge.
"Mingi, you're finally here" San patted his shoulder and leaned against the counter.
"We left the gift at home. Are we the last ones to arrive?" Mingi asked going to stand next to the boy.
"Yeah, Jared and Yunho were the first to arrive" San said as he played with the cabinet of the counter.
"Jared's here? Didn't Yunho say he was going to be late?" Mingi furrowed his eyebrows.
"Yeah but he did make it"
"Did you go watch his competition?" Mingi asked but the other shook his head no.
"How so, you never missed one when we were younger" Mingi furrowed his eyebrows.
"I was with Wooyoung and besides, I haven't skated in a long time. You know that" San sighed and took a sip of wine.
"Yeah, you were one of the first to leave the group if I recall correctly" Mingi said.
"Hey I kept in touch, don't get all moody" San chuckled and looked at his friend.
"I know, I know" Mingi nudged him playfully.
"Seonghwa followed closely after me anyway... You refused to leave Jared and Yunho refused to leave without either of you" San pouted, they were weird memories that had been put away for a long time.
"You should go greet everyone else. I'm gonna go wake up Wooyoung" San got up and went up the stairs whereas Mingi made his way back to the living room.
Yeosang was bothering Seonghwa to convince him to let him buy some chicken to go with dinner as the elder did his best to ignore him. Hongjoong was showing Jongho his newest hat that Seonghwa had bought him for his birthday and Yunho sitting on the couch with a blonde sitting on his lap, drinking wine.
"Ew public display of affection" Mingi teased the two when he got there.
"Oh shut up you, you're fifteen minutes late" Yunho rolled his eyes and snuggled closer to his boyfriend.
"I thought you had a big skating competition, Jared?" Mingi bent down and grabbed some hummus from the table.
"Yeah but it finished early so I was able to come here" The blonde smiled and blushed when his boyfriend kissed his cheek.
"How did it go then?"
"I won of course, I'm the best" Both Yunho and Mingi rolled their eyes and looked away. "I'll shut up" Jared said in a chuckle.
"Babe, Hongjoong needs help with something in the kitchen" Jongho wrapped his arms behind his boyfriend's back.
"I'll be right back. I'm leaving him with you guys, please don't freak him out. It's hard enough to get a kiss out of him" Mingi dashed to the kitchen before he could receive any glare coming off his boyfriend.
"Why did you need me?" He asked when he came into the kitchen. "What's this?"
"It's a cake, can't you see?" Hongjoong rolled his eyes and kept on lighting the candles on the cake.
"You don't say? I meant why are we having cake?" Mingi grabbed a candle and used to it to light the others.
"It's for Jared. For winning the competition" San answered as he came into the kitchen.
"What, who else knows??" Mingi looked at San and raised a questioning eye brow.
"Everyone but you because you can't keep a secret" Hongjoong answered right away. "Okay all done"
"Can I take it??" Mingi clapped his hands happily, took the cake and left the kitchen. All the boys started clapping and making a lot of noise in a congratulating and partying way.
"Oh my god guys" Jared got up and watched his friends sing and play around, making a fuss.
He immediately ducked after blowing on the candles and was right to do so when Jongho tried to get frosting on him. Mingi wasted no time and got Seonghwa as well as Yeosang.
Jongho followed Jared through out the house until he finally got him. He brought him back to the couch and everyone sat down to eat the cake together.

"Come on guys, do it!" Yeosang cheered on.
"Yeah we want to see!!" Wooyoung cheered as well.
"We didn't come all the way here for nothing!" Jongho joined in. They were currently at the skateboard park, trying to get Yunho, Jared, Mingi, San and Seonghwa to skate.
"Babe, I don't want to. It's been years" Seonghwa whined to his boyfriend.
"Honey, you're always watching videos and going to see those guys at the park. Skate!" Hongjoong nudged his boyfriend forward.
"Let's do it! I haven't skated with Hwa in like six years" Jared said as he brought the elder to the edge of the boarding figure.
"This going to be epic" Mingi yelled as he brought his skate to his feet. Next to him, San was ready as well as Jared.
"Fine" Seonghwa grabbed the spare skate and was the first to go.
"Woohoo!! That's what I'm talking about, baby!" Mingi yelled before following him.
"Let's do this" San pushed Jared down the slope.
"You fucker!" The elder yelled making everyone laugh. San knew the boy would be safe on his board and was the last to go.
The five boys gave their friends the show of a lifetime. They skated for about twenty minutes, going down slopes, stairs and other obstacles the park had.
Once they were done, they joined the rest of the group who was sitting on the ground, watching the stars. Mingi sat down behind Jongho and brought him to his chest. The younger smiled and snuggled closer trying to steal all of his boyfriend's warmth.
Mingi giggled and held him tight, so tight he was afraid the younger would complain. He looked around him and saw all of his friends gathered together and in his arms, the love of his life.
Yeah, this was fate.
