Jongho: Okay I know that we haven't spent a lot of time together lately
Jongho: So, I have a solution
Mingi_99: What is it?
Jongho: I have to go to a friend's wedding recpetion, wanna come with me? :D
Mingi_99: Sure, if I get to spend time with you
Jongho: That's what I wanna hear! :3
Jongho: I can pick you up, it's tomorrow at two
Mingi_99: Alright, see you then
Jongho: Mingi? Are you okay?
Jongho: You seem a bit mad?
Mingi_99: No, it's like you said, we don't see each other often lately
Jongho: I know, I picked up an extra shift and it's taking up a lot of time
Mingi_99: It's fine, I understand
Jongho: Okay...
Jongho: Tomorrow will be fun though; we can spend all afternoon and night together <3
Mingi_99: I know <3
Jongho pouted, he knew the elder missed him and that he must be feeling a bit hurt that Jongho wasn't given him his entire attention. But lately he had been having trouble juggling work, friends and romantic life.
The next day
"Get in loser, we're going to a wedding" Jongho screamed from his car's window.
"You know it's a lot less wow when it's not a convertible" Mingi got in the car and put his seatbelt on.
"Oh shut up, you're the rich one, where's your convertible?" Jongho rolled his eyes and took off.
"I'm glad we'll get to spend this time together. It's going to be fun and adorable just like every time we're together"
"Well damn, are you drunk already? The boring event hasn't even started yet" Mingi teased the younger who pouted while he drove.
"I'm kidding, I'm happy to see that you're as glad as I am" Mingi placed his hand on the boy's thigh and looked ahead. The two talked for a while but quickly arrived at their destination.
They got out and walked towards to the park. They ran into a few people Jongho knew and greeted until they reached the main part.
"Jongho! I'm so glad you could come" A pretty brunette hugged him.
"Hyuna! I'd never miss this. Here, this is a friend of mine, Mingi" Mingi bowed and the girl smiled sweetly.
"Hyojong is over there with some guests, if you'd like to go see him" She pointed behind her where a blonde man was shaking hands and laughing with other men.
"I'll go later" Jongho smiled and bowed before grabbing Mingi's hand and leading him to a table where they could sit down.
"It's very pretty here, I like it that they did it outside" Mingi looked around, the beautiful flower arrangements and decorations were really pretty and well done.
"I know right, it's all so green and fresh. It's very nature and very them" Jongho loved what they had done to the park as well and was even happier to be here with Mingi. He was about to say something else but felt his phone buzzing in his pocket. He took it out and answered Jared. He thought the conversation would end there but since the blonde boy was also online, they kept on texting for some time.
Mingi found it odd that the younger was so silent. He looked to his right and saw him smiling and texting on his phone. He looked away and laid back on his seat without much to do.
"I'm going to the restroom; I'll be right back" He got up and put the chair back.
"Do you want me to go with you?" Jongho put his phone away, ready to get up.
"No. I'll go by myself, don't worry" He left and started walking towards the small public restroom the two boys had walked by on their way there.
++++
He had been sitting on a bench for about ten minutes already, he knew he should go back before Jongho started looking for him
He felt someone sit down next to him and turned around.
"Hello, are you okay there?" Hyuna smiled. She looked beautiful with her make up and hairstyle.
"I'm fine, I was just taking a quick walk. The place is really pretty" Mingi tried to make small talk to hide the fact that he was nervous.
"Thank you, I always dreamed about what my wedding day would look like"
"And is this what you had in mind?" Mingi took a quick scan around, it all seemed so perfect. Planned until the last detail.
"It's even better than what I had in mind" Hyuna's smile made Mingi smile as well.
"What about you? Are you Jongho's boyfriend?" The question made Mingi's throat dry. He looked at the girl, feeling bad for her for not having an answer.
"No, we're not. I don't really know what we are if I'm being honest" It hurt him to say that. He wanted to be able to claim the boy as his and a few weeks ago he would have had no problem doing so. Only, lately with Jongho's behavior he didn't know if the two would ever get there.
"You'd look really cute together. I hope you do end up marrying each other even though I bet it wouldn't beat my own wedding" She smiled teasingly before laughing.
"I'd never dare" Mingi joked along before getting up with her and leading her back to the main party. The conversation lingering on his mind.
