(Merida's POV)

"So, Rapunzel saved you, and then what, you just left her?" I asked and Hiccup elbowed me in the side, which actually hurt because he is bony.

"I wanted to help her, but she told me to leave." The very pale blonde girl said, while her sister looked at her in awkward awe, as if she hadn't seen her before.

"It's alright, no one is blaming you." Hiccup assured her and she nodded, though her gaze was blank, her mind somewhere else. "So, is there a chance that you could find your way back to the cave? If we all go, we could free her." he said and she nodded.

"I think I can." she said while her sister seemed to notice something else.

"Maybe we don't have to free her... look." we all turned to where she was pointing and she was right, it was Rapunzel and she was walking towards us with determined steps. Jack stepped forwards with a wave, but I hesitated, eyeing her over. Something was off, she didn't have the same annoyingly cheerful energy around her...

"Jack wait! Her eyes!" I yelled when I noticed the small black spots, which were kind of hard from this distance.

"Huh, they look kind of- shit!" he yelled as she used her hair to whip him aside, throwing him into the mountain wall next to him.

"Jack!" Me, Hiccup, and Anna yelled while Elsa seemed a bit frozen from chock. Just then, Rapunzel started singing, it was the same melody as when she healed Hiccup or fought the night-mares, only that it had very different words.

"Wither and decay, end this destiny..."  she sang. Jack popped up his head from where he was laying, before groaning.

"Can somebody call an exorcist?" he called, though no one was listening to him anymore.

"-break these earthly chains, and set the spirit free." Rapunzel continued and to rapidly for my liking, things started to change, turn black. First her eyes, then her hair, and instead of simple matter, it was almost like it was alive, starting to stand. The blackness didn't stop with her, but spread on the ground around her, coming towards us.

"Rapunzel stop!" I snapped, but it was no use. The blackness reached Anna first, who was the closest, but no one had time to help her as it reached us soon after. Whatever she was doing, it was draining. I fell to my knees, energy burning away quickly and it got hard to breathe. From the look of it, the others felt the same, even the dragon.

Anna was definitely the worst, starting to look grey and I was honestly not sure of how long she would last if this continued.

"Rapunzel!" I called between coughs, but it was like speaking to a wall.

"Anna." Elsa breathed out, crawling over to her sister who really didn't look good. I watched as the thoughts of the older sister spun, seeing just when she came to some form of conclusion. She moved her hands in some weird gesture while turning her head and closing her eyes. Too late, I realized she was making an ice-pike.

"Elsa no!" I called, but she fired it off before I could even finish my sentence. It hit Rapunzel in the shoulder and she fell to the ground by the impact, the black slowly seeping away both around us and on her. She groaned loudly as a black dust cloud came from her face, the sand thing was gone. I didn't hesitate as I ran towards her, still gasping for air from the not-so-fun experience with the dark. I reached her before any of the others, but Hiccup soon followed, and then Jack.

"Rapunzel?" I asked, but she didn't move. "Rapunzel." I tried again, shaking her slightly and she groaned softly again, slowly forcing her eyes open to look at us.

"Sorry about that." she said and the three of us laughed, she was definitely back to herself. Jack eyed her wound and her face over for a while, before patting her lightly on her arm.

"It's nice that you're not dead." he finally said and she chuckled, before groaning, only then did I take notice of how her clothes were slowly turning red from the wound leaking.

"Poo." I mumbled. "Why don't you just do that song-healing thing?" I asked and she shook her head.

"It doesn't work on me."

"Okay. Does anyone know anything about treating a wound?" I asked, looking at everyone in turn.

Anna shook her head as she tried to get up on shaky feet, also wanting to see that Rapunzel was alright for herself. Elsa shook her head, looking panicked by the fact that she did this as if she hadn't saved all of our lives.

"Nope." Jack said with a sigh, placing a hand on the ice to keep it cool enough not to melt, while Hiccup tilted his head.

"I used to get hurt all the time, so I learned some. But I never dealt with something this bad." he told us and I shrugged.

"You're the best option we have." I told him honestly and he sighed.

"Alright, I'll do my best."

"I need to talk to Elsa." Rapunzel mumbled and I furrowed my brows but gestured for the princess to come over. She did so quickly, kneeling hesitantly by Rapunzel's side.

"Yes?" she asked and Rapunzel turned to her.

"It's a bit of a blur, but I'm pretty sure Pitch said he did something to you, do you remember if he said something about it to you?" she asked and Elsa frowned, thinking back.

"He put some mud on my arm and told me it would activate when it was time. He didn't explain further." she said and Jack frowned.

"Mud... can I see?" he asked and she shrugged, pulling up her sleeve to show black mud going around her wrist. It almost looked like... "It's the sand in mud-form. It will activate and she will get affected just like you two were." he said, looking at me and Rapunzel.

"What? I'll go dark?" Elsa asked and he shook his head.

"No, we'll come up with a plan. But right now, we need to find a place to rest, it's been a long day."

So... she got possessed and almost killed them and then she got impaled. It's going great for these guys, isn't it?

That's really all I have to say so... bye?
