Chapter 7: It's a Small World After All

NORMAL POV

"Rise and shine!" Kevin says as he barges into Liz's room and begins opening her curtains. "C'mon get up! It's a brand new day filled with brand new opportunities!" He adds as Liz groans.

"There's 6 more minutes until my alarm rings. Could you please let me enjoy those few more amazing minutes?" Liz says still having her eyes closed.

"No can do. Get up and get dressed because we have a big day planned." He responds as Liz covers her face with the closest pillow.

"Why are you doing this?" Liz says as Kevin chuckles.

"Simple because I'm your manager and it's my duty to get you to your callback." He says as Liz quickly sits up and sees that Kevin had already left the room.

"Wait Kevin come back!" Liz says throwing all the blankets off of her. "What do you mean a callback?" She says as he's about to go through the bedroom door.

"Callback meaning the casting directors want to see you again." Kevin says as Liz becomes excited.

"It's from the Disney Channel movie isn't it?" Liz says excited as Kevin shrugs his shoulders. "It is! Okay get out! I need to get ready." She says pushing him out of her room.

As Liz was getting ready she could feel this feeling inside of her telling her that today was going to be a great day. Of course she didn't want to jinx it so she tried her best to push that thought out of her mind. At least until something good happened.

"Is it weird that I'm really nervous?" Liz says as she paces back and forth.

"Everyone gets nervous so it's fine but what's not fine is you pacing around and giving me a headache." Kevin says as he grabs Liz's hand and sits her down.

"Oh thank god she finally sat down. Here's your coffee, Kevin." Briana says approaching them and handing Kevin his drink.

"I need to get my mind off of things." Liz says as she starts to bite her fingernails.

"And that's why I'm here." Briana says as she pushes Liz's hands away from her mouth. "Austin told me about you having the hots for a boy that goes to your dance studio." She says as Kevin nearly chokes on his drink.

"I'm sorry what?!" Kevin says as Liz slouches on her chair.

"Oh calm down Kevin, your sisters a teenager now so get used to the subject about boys because it's going to happen alot." Briana says as Liz shakes her head.

"Next topic!" Liz says as Briana shakes her head.

"Don't think you can just change the subject." Briana says as Liz groans. "What do you know about him?" She asks as Liz sighs.

"That it is a small world after all. Now next topic, what's going on between you and Frankie, huh?" Liz says as Briana gasps.

"Touché my friend." Briana says as they hear the door open.

"Liz you can come in now." The casting director says as Liz nods.

"Good luck!" Kevin whispers over to Liz as she follows the casting director into the room.

"Alright Liz so I would like for you to meet Ross Lynch. Who will help you in this audition." The casting director says as Liz looks over to the other person in the room.

Ross and Liz both stand there in immense suprisement for they would have never imagined that they would ever meet again.

"Hi. Nice to meet you." Ross says breaking the silence as Liz struggles to find the right words.

"Nice to meet you too." Liz says as Ross chuckles.

"Alright so here are your scripts we want you two to work on. We'll give you two some time to look over it." He says as they nod and open up the script.

"I didn't think I would ever see you again." Ross whispers over to Liz as both of them keep their eyes on the script.

"Weird how we keep finding each other in the same places." Liz says as Ross chuckles again.

"Well it's a small world after all." He says as Liz looks over at him and gives him a smile.

"I guess it is." Liz says as Ross looks up at her and smiles back.

"You ready to do this. I mean we're a really great dance duo, so we must be a great acting duo." Ross says as Liz nearly blushes.

"Let's do it. We're ready." Liz says to the casting directors as Ross continues to smile at her.

ROSS' POV

One thing that I really hate the most is when you're put in a really awkward situation and you can cut the tension with a knife.

I really think the callback went great but judging by the casting directors whispers it might have gone otherwise.

"I really wish they didn't do this in front of us." Liz says to me as I nod. "I think if we just leave they won't notice?" She adds as I nod.

"Good idea." I say as we begin to walk out but they stop us.

"Sorry you guys had to be in the room when we did that but we made a decision." One of them says to us as I feel Liz become nervous. "Congrats Liz you got the part." They add as Liz becomes excited.

"Oh my god! Thank you so much!" Liz says as a huge smile appears on her face.

"Let's go into the other room we have some things we want to go over." They say as they gather their stuff and begin walking away.

"You did it!" I say to her as we embrace each other in a hug. As soon as we pull away we make eye contact with each other and an almost awkward feeling is felt.

"We should go." Liz says as I nod and we walk out of the room.

"They told us the news, congratulations Liz!" A girl around our age says to her as she embraces her in a hug. "Oh who's this?" She asks as Liz looks over at me.

"Um, this is Ross. He's my new costar." Liz says as I shake her friend's hand.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Briana." She says as I nod.

"And I'm Liz's older brother, Kevin, nice to meet you." The guy standing next to Briana says as he pushes her out of the way and shakes my hand.

"Nice to meet you." I say as I can tell he's trying to intimidate me.

"Ross and I are needed in the other room. So I'll see you two later." Liz says as her brother let's go of my hand.

"What a coincidence I'm needed in there too. Why you may ask? It's because I'm your manager." Kevin says as he drags away Liz.

"Excuse his behavior. He just doesn't want his sister to date yet." Briana says before walking away.

Date? No one ever said anything about dating? Unless that was a hint that Liz likes me and wants to go on a date soon. But I don't even know her that well yet. No! I'm being delusional. Briana was probably just joking.
