Chapter 2: Career Choices

LIZ'S POV

"I'm home!" I say coming into the house and walking into the kitchen where I see my brother Frankie and my mom. "I bought some ice cream." I add as I hand it to Frankie.

"Extra sprinkles! You know me too well." Frankie says as I laugh.

"I saw Kevin's car upfront. Where is he?" I ask setting my stuff down.

"He's in the backyard with your dad. They're talking about adding a new grill." My mom says as I shake my head.

"Of course." I say making my mom chuckle.

"Liz!" I hear someone say my name as I turn and see Kevin coming into the kitchen and I run up and no hug him.

"I've missed you." I say to him as he laughs.

"And I've missed you but enough of that cause dad and I need to have a meeting with you." He says as I look at him confused.

"I'm helping dad manage your career." He says as I look at him almost shocked. "Whoa contain your excitement." He says sarcastically as I shake my head.

"No that's great but it's also extremely unexpected. Anyway let's get started." I say to him as we walk to our dad's office where we meet with him. "Alright what's this meeting about?" I say as I jump into my favorite chair.

"Well how are you're songs coming along?" My dad asks me as I shrug my shoulders.

"Not trying to brag or anything but just the other day I wrote three new songs. What can I say when you have brothers with interesting love lives you get inspired." I say as Kevin looks at me confused.

"Okay I know for a fact that none of those are based on my love life. I'm a married man." He says as I laugh.

"Keep thinking that." I say teasing him as he shakes his head.

"So Kevin's you're new manager and he's done his first action." Our dad says as I give him as high five. "He's landed you a movie offer." He adds as I gasp excitedly.

"Way to go Kevin!" I say excitedly as he laughs. "So what's this movie about? An action movie with CGI robots or one with CGI animals." I add as he sighs.

"No CGI whatever. It's a musical and the producers ad directors are highly interested in you." Kevin says as I give him a confused look.

"Why does that sound really familiar?" I say as Kevin and my dad exchange looks. "What's going on?" I ask as my Kevin sighs.

"It's the executives at Disney that are interested in you being in the movie." Kevin reveals as I shake my head.

"They want me back. Don't you two remember what happened last time?" I say as my dad and brother nod.

"Yes of course we remember but time has passed and those people who made your life impossible have been fired." My dad says as I sigh.

"I'm guessing you're going to say no to this offer." Kevin says as I shake my head.

"Mom and dad taught me that I shouldn't hold grudges and that I should forgive and forget so I'm going to go to the audition." I say as my dad smiles at me.

NORMAL POV

Cheers erupt as Ross Lynch finishes signing his name on the line of the casting contract. He was just told that he would be starring in the brand new Disney Channel Original Movie. It was a summer musical, something he had always secretly wished for.

"We look forward to start filming soon." The producer says giving Ross a handshake.

"When do we start filming cause I can't wait?" Ross says as the producer chuckles.

"Well first we need to find your leading lady. It might take a while but as soon as we find her we'll set a date to start production." The producer says as Ross nods.

"My leading lady? So my love interest? Can I know who you have in mind?" Ross says as the producer laughs.

"The only hint that I'll give you is that they're all well known. We want to keep it top secret for now but don't worry we'll tell you soon." He says as Ross smiles at him.
