Chapter 34: A New Chapter Begins

NORMAL POV

"You knew!? You knew and didn't tell anyone. You didn't tell me and don't even get me started on not being included in the little secret circle." Frankie says to his parents.

"Frankie please stop being so over dramatic." Liz says as he shakes his head and leans back on the couch.

"I am not over dramatic. I just feel left out." Frankie says as Liz rolls her eyes.

"What I don't understand is how was he able to convince you two?" Nick asks his parents.

"Well he asked for our blessing on taking Liz out on a date but said he wanted to ask in a different kind of way." Their dad responds as Nick nods.

"And you agreed just like that? No playing the tough dad card?" Nick asks as his dad chuckles.

"Why would I when Liz has all four of you to do that job. Besides I've known him for a while now I know he's a great person." Paul says as Frankie sits next to Nick.

"He's my friend, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to be tough on him." Frankie says as Liz rolls her eyes.

"You say that now but just watch." Liz says as her mom turns to face her.

"Okay can this talk be over because I really want to know how the date went." Denise says as Liz chuckles.

"It went great. We had an amazing dinner that you helped set up, we talked, and just had a good time." Liz says as her brothers groans.

"We don't need to here this." Nick says as he and Frankie leave the room.

"Sweetheart, we're glad that you had a great night. There is however one thing you should always remember, a relationship with a boy should never be more important than your relationship with friends and family." Paul says as Liz nods.

"I won't forget that dad." Liz says giving him a hug.

"Hello, Jonas family!" They hear from the front door as it opens.

"Speaking of friends." Liz says recognizing the voice as Alyson and heading towards the door.

"Oh hey there Liz! What's up? Alyson and I were just in the neighborhood and decided to drop off these homemade cupcakes." Briana says as Liz chuckles.

"Really? You couldn't even put in the effort to take the clearly store bought cupcakes out of the packaging." Liz says as Briana and Alyson exchange looks.

"Funny story...they are store bought. Can you blame us for wanting to visit our favorite person?" Briana says as Liz sighs.

"How did the screening go? Were there any surprises?" Alyson says obviously trying to allude to something.

"You two want me to spill secrets about the date I had with Ross, don't you?" Liz says as they act surprised.

"A date with Ross?!" Briana says trying to act surprised but failing as Alyson and Liz raise their eyebrows at her. "Now you see why I'm not the actress in the group." She adds making them laugh.

"Ross filled me in on all the secrets happening between all of you." Liz says as Alyson lets out a big sigh.

"You have no idea how hard it was keeping it from you." Alyson says as Briana nods.

"So, are you two going to be that celebrity couple that hides from the cameras the first couple months of dating?" Briana asks as Liz begins thinking.

"She just had her date like 20 minutes ago. Let her sink in everything." Alyson says as Briana shrugs her shoulders.

"Could I interrupt for a second?" Liz hears her mom say as she approaches the 3 girls.
