Chapter 25: Taking One For The Team

NORMAL POV

"It's so nice to meet you. I'm such a big fan of yours and when I found out Garrett was going to work with you I was so excited." Garrett's mom says to Liz as she smiles at her.

"Aw thank you and I've been so happy working with Garrett he's so funny and never fails to make me laugh." Liz says as Garrett's mom laughs.

"His jokes aren't the best but he does have a cute face so maybe that's why people laugh at them." She responds as Liz laughs.

"Mom, I see you met Liz." Garrett says as he approaches them.

"I did and she's even sweeter in person." She responds making Liz smile. "I should get going but I'll see you around." She adds as Liz nods.

"It was great talking to you. See you around." Liz says as Garrett's mom walks away.

"Sorry about her. I told her if she was going to visit me she had to contain her inner fan girl." Garrett says as Liz laughs.

"It's fine. Your mom seems really cool and it was funny how she bombarded me right after we finished our scene." Liz says as Garrett chuckles.

"It's her first time here in Puerto Rico and she gets to meet one of her favorite artist so her excitement is on another level." Garrett says as Liz laughs.

"You don't need to apologize. It's really fun meeting everyone's family now that they're here." Liz says as Garrett nods.

"It is exciting isn't it. By the way I met your brothers and they are so cool." Garrett says as Liz sighs and nods. "What are you not happy that they're here?" He asks as Liz shakes her head.

"No, I am happy they're here. It's just that I'm hiding something from them and I feel super guilty. I want to tell them but I know they'll overreact and it'll be real bad." Liz says as Garrett sighs.

"Well I can't really help you much since I've never been in your position but I think you should tell them and explain why you're doing this." He responds and Liz nods.

"You're right." Liz says as Garrett laughs.

"This totally gave me a deja vu moment of the scene we just did." Garrett says causing Liz to laugh before she turns and sees Frankie running towards her.

"You two are going to want to hear this." Frankie says as Liz shakes her head.

"Oh no this better not be a dumb announcement on what they're serving at the buffet today." Liz says as Frankie shakes her head.

"They're serving Mexican food today but that's not why I'm here. It's about our brothers." Frankie says as Liz's eyes widen. "Glad I got your full attention. They were watching your scene and now they think that you two are off-screen lovers." Frankie says causing Garrett and Liz to laugh.

"What? That's crazy. No offense Liz but we all know you and Ross are secretly going out." Garrett says as Liz looks at him.

"Wait a minute, you know about that?" Liz asks as Garrett chuckles.

"Liz, the question you should be asking yourself is who doesn't know." Garrett responds as Liz shakes her head.

"Oh yeah another thing, Joe, Kevin and Nick all for some reason think Garrett is Ross. So Garrett if I were you I would emotionally prepare myself for constant death stares coming from them." Frankie says as Garrett laughs nervously.

"Okay we have one more scene to film so let's do that and then afterwards we need to come up with a way to fix this." Liz says as Frankie and Garrett nod.
