Chapter 36: The Secret Is Out

NORMAL POV

"See Liz this dinner was not completely unnecessary." Denise says as she, her husband, Liz, Ross and Frankie are all seated together in a restaurant table. "We got an update on how Ross' training for his piloting license is going." She adds as Ross nods.

"And we got a head start on Thanksgiving feast." Frankie says with a mouth full of food.

"Here's to hoping your much cleaner tomorrow." Liz says grabbing a napkin and wiping her brother's mouth.

"Here's to hoping you don't steal fries off my plate tomorrow." Frankie says making his sister laugh.

"Speaking about tomorrow, Ross I'm really looking forward to having brunch with your family." Paul says as Ross nods.

"They're also excited to see you guys again too. It's been awhile since our two families have seen each other." Ross says as Denise smiles. "Plus it will be the first time Liz meets my parents as my girlfriend." He adds as Liz chuckles.

"You're finally conquering your fear?" Frankie says playfully as Liz glares at him.

"I'm not scared to meet Ross' parents, I just haven't had the time. Between both of us touring and working on our TV shows we just haven't found the time." Liz says as Frankie shrugs his shoulders.

"There's no need to be nervous since my parents already adore you." Ross says as Liz smiles. 

"Well Ross we adore you and this meet the parents dinner was definitely one of the easier ones." Denise says as Ross chuckles.

"Thank you. You two are great as well. I really miss the dinners we had on set and everyone of you would fill the room with so much personality." Ross says as everyone smiles.

"Plus this meet the parents dinner was one of the easier ones since we already know so much about you." Paul says as Ross and Liz smile.

"Who was the easiest one?" Frankie asks as his parents share a look.

"We will let you figure that one out." Denise says as Frankie shakes his head.

"I think we should wrap it up the paparazzi just arrived." Paul says as they look out the window and see them setting up. "Which reminds me do you kids still want to keep your relationship a secret?" He adds as Liz and Ross share a look.

"We talked about it and we think it's time we tell our fans but we don't want to make a big show about this." Liz says as her dad nods.

"You kids should head to the car while your father and I pay." Denise says as Frankie and Liz nod.

"I actually already payed for our meal." Ross says as Liz and her family freeze.

"You didn't have to do that." Denise says as Ross shrugs his shoulders.

"I wanted to though." Ross says as Denise nods.

"Alright then, we should get going." Paul says as they head towards the door.

"Liz, I rarely ever say this about my kid's relationships but good job." Denise says to her daughter as they walk out side by side.

"Every time I'm at the Thanksgiving parade the inner child in me just comes out." Frankie says as he and his sister walk near the Macy's Thanksgiving day Parade Floats.

"You don't need to tell me considering the fact that you made me take 20 pictures of you next to all the floats." Liz says as Frankie scoffs.

"Okay let's not exaggerate." Frankie says as Liz glares at him.
