Chapter 2. More Than Just a Dream?

Lourdes POV

One second I was looking down on Sam, watching her sleep, and then the next I was holding my cheek with my hand. She had punched me in her sleep but now stirred, starting to wake up.

"What the hell Sam, why did you punch me?" She stared over at me with her eyes wide and full of fear.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to... I was having a nightmare and in the nightmare I couldn't move..." Her voice trailed off when she looked down at her arms. I followed her gaze and noticed a matching set of large bruises on her arms.

"Why would you do that to yourself?" I reached over and lightly touched her bruises with my fingertips. Sam winced and retracted quickly.

"Why do you think I did it to myself? It's strange though... These are the same bruises I had received in my nightmare." Sam looked up at me, looking like she was deep in thought.

"Lourdes do you think there is a way for nightmares to come true?" It took a minute for her words to sink in but after taking another minute to think about it I just laughed.

"No it's a silly superstition that parents tell their kids to get them to behave and go to bed." Sam nodded but I could tell she still wasn't sure.

"It was just a nightmare Sam. Now come and eat some breakfast before CC and Jinxx eat it all." I was hoping to get at least a chuckle out of her but she sat there emotionless. I sighed and stood up walking over to the door. "I will be downstairs with everyone if you need me. Please come join us when you feel up to it." I watched Sam nod and walked out of the room hoping she was going to be alright.

Samantha's POV

If only Lourdes had been there, seen what I had, felt the fear that had left an empty feeling in my gut, then maybe she would understand. It all felt so real and looking down at my bruises some of it was.

I sat there looking at my arms for a few more minutes going over my nightmare in my head before getting up and grabbing some clothes for a shower.

I walked into the bathroom and turned on the water, letting it warm up as I got undressed. I looked down at my arms again before getting in and letting the water hit my back, images of the nightmare still racing through my head. Finally I broke down and cried just hoping I was over reacting over the whole thing.

I finished my shower and got dressed in a Tokio Hotel t-shirt and Black jeans, making sure to throw on Jake's BVB hoodie to cover my arms otherwise he would be asking me a million questions. I grabbed my eyeliner and accented my eyes just a little bit before brushing my blood red hair out and leaving it down.

I walked out of the bathroom and made my way downstairs to find everyone in the living room. The Purdy twins, Alex and Tasha, were still lounging around in their Hello Kitty pajamas which means they must have just woken up. Their brother Ashley and his girlfriend Amy were cuddling on the couch and I noticed he was also wearing a pair of Hello kitty pants and slippers. I rolled my eyes as I walked by and made my way into the kitchen which was completely packed.

"So my sleepy head is finally awake." Jake smiled walking over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"So says the guy that will sleep for days and still be tired." I leaned up and kissed his nose before escaping from his grasp and walking over to the table, sitting down by Sarah and Jinxx. I noticed Jinxx's guilty look and shook my head slightly.

"I'm not hungry don't worry Jinxx." I pulled the sleeves of the hoodie over my hands and rested my head on my hands looking over at CC who was still eating.

"Are you sure? you can have what's left on my plate." I stuck my tongue out at him wrinkling my nose.

"I don't see how you can eat pancakes with jelly on them..." CC looked down at his plate then smacked his forehead.

"I forgot you hate jelly. You should at least try a bite. You just don't know what you are missing!" He shoved a big bite into his mouth and smiled wide making me giggle a little.

"Finally a laugh!" Lourdes jumped up and down and I looked over at her like  she had lost her mind.

"I laugh all the time. Why is now so different?" I looked back at CC, watching him make his funny faces as he ate his breakfast.

"You were in a mood earlier and I wasn't able to make you laugh... You usually laugh at all of my jokes." Lourdes walked over to the table and began clearing off all of the empty dishes.

"Yeah but I'm feeling better now so don't worry." I smiled getting up to help her.

"What movie do you guys want to watch later?" Tia asked, stealing one of her brothers jelly covered pancakes.

"Hey give that back Tia!" CC stood up and started chasing her around the table.

"Here you can have it back." Tia licked the jelly off and held it out to him, grinning.

"Eww not now!" CC pushed it back at her and made his way over to his plate trying to finish them before Tia could steal another one.

I just sat there laughing hysterically watching them bicker at each other. I was glad I was in a better mood, if that makes sense.

A few hours passed by and we all gathered into the living room to decide on movies to watch and since no one could make up their minds, Andy made up our minds for us and put Batman in. I cuddled up to Jake and laid my head on his chest slowly falling asleep.
