Lourdes POV

The sun continued to set and our anticipation grew as the horizon showed no sign of change. I began to question Jake's sanity just a little and wondered if this whole thing was just some ruse to get us out of the compound. Maybe there was something he didn't want any of us to see... I stopped walking and so did the others, while Jake and CC continued.

"We have been walking for a hour now Jake and if we are supposed to save this "so called" tribe, where is it?" Jake stopped and turned around, noticing we were stopped.

"Why would Tia lie to us? We need to keep going guys. We don't have that much time left!"

CC was trying to egg us on but we were tired and needed rest. I hadn't slept in almost 3 days and I could feel sleep tightening it's grasp on me with each passing second. I looked at the others and could see how tired they were also. Come to think of it, with all of the problems no one has had time to sleep and it was only a matter of minutes before we all crashed right here in the desert, completely vulnerable to an attack. Even CC looked sleep deprived but I could tell he would do anything he could to have Michelle with him.

"CC, I know how much Michelle means to you but honestly, look at us. We can't go on much longer. Andy is still healing and needs rest more than any of us. Not to mention your ribs are still tender and Jinxx is still bruised! Our group is a wreck and I'm still amazed we have made it through everything without losing even one life."CC glared at me and i could feel the anger radiating from his pores.

"We did lose someone Lourdes, Tia is now gone and you honestly have no idea how horrible it feels. I should have been there to save them but we got caught up in your mess! It's all your fucking fault Andy!" I stared at CC wondering if he realized the words that were coming out of his mouth. I took a few steps toward CC and shoved my finger in his face.

"Don't blame this on him, Coma! He had no idea that F.E.A.R was going to attack again and actually we all figured we had finished off all of the Shadows! If you want to blame someone blame F.E.A.R. They are the reason we are even here in the first place!" CC stood his ground and moved right in my face, his anger started to overwhelm me.

"I blame everyone here! Sam for starting all of this and we had to follow her here!"

"You do realize I am standing right here and can hear ever word you are saying. I didn't ask for this. I didn't ask for you guys to come follow me here I would have just accepted my fate and died here. Jake would have mourned for a while then moved on like any other person out there. I didn't want you guys to have the same fate as me. It was your choice to come here and you can leave whenever you please!" Sam clenched her fists as her voice rose and when she had finished saying what she had to say, she looked on the verge of tears. She stormed past us all and started walking in our original direction.

"Now look at what you did." Jake shook his head and dropped his gaze from CC as he ran to catch up with Sam. He pulled her into his arms and she held her face in his chest as she began to cry.

"Look we are all exhausted and need rest but this is not the time nor the place to be fighting with each other. We have a Rebel tribe to save and family to find. After we save the tribe we can rest and hope for better moods." Andy came up behind me and placed his hand on my shoulder as he looked over at CC. CC nodded in agreement and didn't say a word as he turned and began walking again.

"Lack of sleep will bring out the worst in people. It also brings about clumsiness and a lack of thought process. We should continue on our way." I nodded up at Andy and we started walking, the others following close on our heels.

We came across a large dune, which CC was already close to the top, and stopped a few feet from the base of it to get a good measure of the height. It was a good 20-30 ft. tall and looked like it reached across this whole half of the desert. I was amazed that CC had already made most of the trek up it and hoped that we were getting close to the Rebel base. I started climbing, looking up occasionally to see how far I had gone or to see if CC had made it all of the way and to my surprise he was standing at the top looking at the newly discovered sights.
