Jake's POV

Jinxx and I walked around the compound finding a few of the younger Rebels that had gone into hiding when the attack started, and had a some of the older Rebels try to comfort them while we continued our search. We put out the remaining fires and finally came to the front gates, no more Shadows were seen so we had either destroyed the rest of them or they had fled, knowing they weren't going to succeed in their mission.

"I think we are safe for now, at least until Andy, CC and Ashley heal up. If they decide to attack again it's you and me, Jake." I sighed and sat down on a rock, taking a little break after our long day.

"Yeah I know. We need to be very focused cause we can't get hurt and leave the Rebels defenseless." Jinxx nodded looking outside the gates just as Tasha and Alex ran up to us.

"Where's our brother?" Tasha looked from me to Jinxx then back at me before pointing her finger at us.

"He's In the medical hut Tash. He-" Alex was already gone and Tasha turned running after her sister before I could finish. I looked down at the ground. Suddenly Sam screamed and I jumped snapping my attention to her.

"Jinxx watch out!" She pointed at Jinxx and I followed where she was pointing just in time to see the Shadow that had appeared behind Jinxx.

I jumped up and ran toward Jinxx who had tried to jump away from the Shadow but it was too quick for him. He grabbed Jinxx and stared at us as Jinxx fought to escape but his attempts were useless since the Shadow had his arms pinned. I had almost reached them so I decided to jump hoping to catch the Shadow off guard but he knew what I was doing and disappeared with Jinxx. I fell to the ground where the Shadow had just been standing and punched the ground in frustration. Sam ran over to me and fell to her knees beside me as I laid on the ground not knowing what to do.

"Can't we get just one fucking day of silence? Now what are going to do? Andy is in no way capable of fighting, either is CC until his ribs heal and Ashley will heal quicker than the others since his wounds aren't too deep but now they have Jinxx and I am the only one left who can fight. I can't take the Rebels to save him it is too dangerous for them and way too dangerous for me to go alone." Sam placed her hand on my back and shook her head.

"I don't know but we need to tell Sarah what has happened and let the others know what has happened. There isn't much we can to until the others are better." I sighed and pushed off the ground with my arms, and stood up dusting off my clothes.

"Let's go find Sarah and tell CC and Ash what happened. I don't think Andy will be awake yet." Sam grabbed my hand and led me around the compound until we found Sarah talking to some of the younger Rebels. She stood up and looked around before settling her gaze on me, looking worried.

"Sarah..." She shook her head as tears rolled down her cheeks and I knew she already knew Jinxx was in trouble.

"He can't be. He isn't dead is he?" Sam left my side and hugged Sarah who was about to fall to the ground.

"No he isn't dead...yet... He was taken by one of the Shadows just before I could save him." Sarah collapsed to the ground crying hard and I could feel her pain which made the words I was going to say catch in my throat so I left Sam with Sarah and went to tell the other guys what had happened.

CC's POV

Ashley had woken up a few minutes after Jake and Jinxx left to check out the compound and was sitting up on the bed smoking a cigarette while rubbing the back of his head. I tapped my foot to the song that was stuck in my head wondering what was taking them so long. Just as I was about to get up and check on them Jake walked in by himself, making me curious.

"Where's Jinxx?" Jake bit his lip and looked to the right before settling his gaze on the ground.

"He was taken by a Shadow..."

"WHAT! How did that happen?!" I jumped out of my chair which was a bad idea because pain shot through my chest making me wince but I was too worried about Jinxx.

"We finished checking out the compound and ended at the front gates. A few minutes later Sam screamed and told Jinxx to watch out but he wasn't quick enough and the Shadow took him before I was able to reach them..." Jake sat down in the last empty chair and I began to pace the room trying to think up a plan.

"Well we can't leave Jinxx there... He will get worse treatment then the Rebels but we can't fight yet."

"I know that's our dilemma I can't go alone and risk the Rebels safety." Jake looked up at me and I stopped pacing realizing it was hopeless until we all were healed.

"All we can do is wait..." I looked down as Jake and Ashley looked at me, the room filling with dread.

Jinxx's POV

I tried to wiggle free from the Shadow but his grip was tight and kicking him seemed to have no effect. He carried me through the F.E.A.R building, starting through where we had raided earlier but then continued down a different Hall. we made our way down the long hall and made a few turns before we came to large double doors the took up the entire end of the hall. We reached the door and it slowly creaked open revealing a dark room that almost looked like a place where a king would dwell.

The Shadow brought me down the long walk and threw me down just in front of what looked like a throne and held me there. Just then a tall dark figure emerged out from behind the throne and sat down assessing me as I tried to break from the Shadows grasp. His dark piercing eyes were cold and void of any emotion and were just as black as his wardrobe and hair.

"Let him free but stay close." Suddenly the Shadow released me and took a few steps back. I stood up and straightened out my shirt staring at the man on the throne showing him I was pissed off.

" I Thought I told you to bring me the one they call The Prophet!" The man stood up shaking with anger and walked toward the Shadow who was standing not too far from me.

He stood in front of his minion and just when I though he was going to turn toward me he jabbed the Shadow in the side and pulled out what looked like the Shadows guts. The Shadow writhed on the ground holding his side but I tore my attention from the Shadow to the man that was now walking behind me. I could feel him touch the back of my jacket, running his finger across the lettering on my back.

"So you are known as The Mystic. I have heard of your power and just so you know I am immune to any flames so don't try anything." He walked past me and made his way back up to his throne where he looked at me curiously but I could see his eyes were full of mischief and that left a small feeling of fear in my gut.

"You sure are a quiet one. That all will change in due time. Now tell me what you Wild Ones are planning. You must already know that F.E.A.R can not be defeated." He sat up on his throne looking so confident and smug but I knew better.

"Everyone has their weaknesses. Even you so don't sit there all high and mighty like nothing can harm you." He sat up folding his hands in his lap and leaned forward, seeming surprised that I had actually said something.

"That is true, so, What is yours? What are the weaknesses of the rest of the Wild Ones? Not going to talk now are you!" He hit the arm of his chair and stood up glaring down at me with the eyes of the devil himself.

"You will never get the information out of me so why try?" I clenched my fists as the man drew closer to me.

"Everyone has their point of breaking. You will end up telling me even if it costs you your life." He stood a few feet away from me like he was afraid I would attack him which had me wondering if he was afraid of me.

"You are wrong."

"We shall see then won't we. Take him to the dungeon. Do whatever you can to get what I want out of him." 2 Shadows appeared behind me and grabbed both of my arms before I could even blink. They were getting quicker which was a bad thing because we wouldn't stand a chance if they moved any faster.
