Chapter 23. Saved

Andy's POV

Jace learned particularly faster then I had expected and gave him a few tests which he passed with flying colors. When it came to fighting he knew quite a lot of my moves and turned out he was one of the ones I had trained for our first raid. He was already ready after about an hour and Lourdes handed him his mask as I handed him my jacket.

"Try not to ruin it." Jace chuckled putting it on.

"I'll try but no guarantees." Lourdes helped him put the mask on and I gave him a once over realizing how much he looked like me except for the missing tattoos. I hoped no one would notice...

"Ok well let's go see how the others are doing. We need to get Jinxx as soon as we can." I stood up with some help from Lourdes and walked out of the hut.

I looked around at all of them and noticed they were all ready also and in 'costume'. It was really amazing at how they looked exactly like us with just a little makeover and their masks.

"Well we are all ready when you are. We will bring him back." Jake smiled putting on his mask and walked up to us, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"I hope so and Mourner, be careful." He nodded and turned walking back to the other guys. Jace took one last glance at me then went to catch up with the group, leading them off toward F.E.A.R. I sighed, worrying if this was the best idea but I shook off the doubt and went back inside.

"They will be fine Andy. I believe in them. They need our strength to get through this." Lourdes had followed me back inside and hugged my from behind, being cautious of my wounds.

"I believe in them as well but I always worry if we are doing the right thing. They all seem ready but they have never faced this challenge before. F.E.A.R is getting stronger from what Jake has told me and will have greater things to face." I placed my hands on her arms and stood there enjoying the warmth of her body on mine.

"They will save him and everything will be fine. We need to worry about getting back home when Jinxx is back with us. What are we supposed to do? We can't leave the Rebels to fend without a leader."

"Actually they won't be without a leader. We just trained their leaders. If they complete this mission as a job well done, with a little more training they will be perfect to lead them." Lourdes slipped her arms from my grasp and walked around to look into my eyes.

"We did didn't we. So my plan was more useful than I thought!" She smiled wide and did a little dance around the hut making me chuckle.

"Yes it was. Now we just have to see how well it works." I caught her in my arms and held her, leaning down to kiss her tenderly.

"Hey where di- oh geez guys I'd say get a room but... yea anyway where did Ashley go? He was just outside." I chuckled and pulled away from Lourdes to look up at Amy who was now looking at the wall and scratching the back of her head.

"I have no idea. We just came in here so he should be around. His wounds don't seem to be bothering him too much. I'll come help you find him." Lourdes giggled, blushing a little and walked over to Amy, placing her hand on Amy's shoulder and led her out of the hut.

Jinxx's POV

"I told you not to go anywhere!" Ana was holding a sword in her hands as she ran closer to me trying to catch me as I ran.

She was indeed faster than I was and flew in front of me with ease, stopping directly in my path and holding her sword out at me. I anticipated her move and quickly dodged past her making her more furious.

"Damn it! You are going to die either way so why not just give up? Your precious friends are too injured to come save your ass!" She chuckled as she started catching up with me, swinging her sword and just barely missing my leg.
