Tiffy's POV

"What was the name of that song you were singing earlier?" I glanced up at Zara as she was picking the scarce blades of grass that we were lucky to come across. I had had to shift the sand here and there before we found any.

"It was We Stitch These Wounds by Black Veil Brides. You know something strange? The Wild Ones remind me so much of them. Wait a minute... That is them! Why hadn't I made the connection before?" I placed the pieces of grass in the burlap sack Rikea had given us and shook my head.

"That isn't possible. F.E.A.R. claimed to have rid our new world of all things including bands and their music that went against their ideals." Zara looked down at the list as we began walking again.

"What if they lied? They seem to be pretty good at it and everything else they told us has been a lie. Not only that but if I remember correctly Black Veil Brides was nowhere to be found when all of this went down." It had been a few since she had spoken so her sudden outburst of thought slightly frightened me.

"That is true, but if so where are the others? Where are the bands we used to head bang to when we were riding in cars, going to concerts, or listening to on the radio? Why would Black Veil Brides be the only ones to survive?" We had now reached our next destination and were scrounging around for anything useful. It was difficult trying to find anything in this dry sand.

"Maybe they are the chosen ones who are here to lead us to our revolution." I pondered that thought for a minute as I picked up some remains of an animal.

"Well I don't think we will ever know the answers to those questions Zara. We just need to focus on what is happening here right now." She sighed heavily as we continued dodging our way through the city buildings.

That must have been the wrong thing to say because not even 2 seconds later we were surrounded by a group of Skins and they looked hungry. I could feel Zara stiffen next to me but I was expecting them to come sooner or later. I handed her the sack and closed my eyes as the sand started to pulse under me. I raised my arms, knowing the sand was obeying my command and started swirling my fingers around. The sand started swirling around Zara and I to made a tornado which left us unharmed but picked up all of the skins, throwing them against the buildings with enough force to shatter their bones. I released the sand and grabbed the sack back from Zara before starting to walk.

"That was amazing! You really kicked their asses!" She had finally unfrozen and was keeping pace with me as we changed directions and headed away from the scene.

"Thanks. So I am curious. What is your power, well I mean if you have one." I looked over at her as she held out her hand and her skin changed into water but kept the shape of her hand.

"I can control or change into water. It comes in handy to an extent seeing as there really isn't any water out here. I was lucky enough to find some water when we were close to the F.E.A.R. organization so I was able to kill Anna."

"Wait you mean she is dead?" I stopped in my tracks when her words registered. She nodded and I grinned throwing my hand up in the air in excitement.

"Let me guess you had a bone to pick with her too?" Zara laughed as I danced around unable to contain my happiness.

"She was the one who had tortured me before the Wild Ones saved me on their raid. I have been waiting for the day someone was going to teach her a lesson." Zara nodded again as she picked up a piece of a cactus and slid it into the sack.

"I had it out for her too but now isn't the time for my sad tale. We should head back before we are attacked again." I agreed and we turned to head back to the school.
