"Sit still, Daphne," Seonghwa instructed, his ear pressed against the locker vault, focused on the sounds within.

"I'm sorry; I'm just anxious," Hypaxia replied, her legs restlessly shifting.

"I understand, but it's hard to hear anything with all the fidgeting," he muttered, his expression tense as he concentrated on discerning the subtle sounds coming from the secured locker.

"It's just that he'll wake up, and he's going to be part of our crew. How fun," she expressed, the anticipation evident in her voice.

"Yes, I know. You've said that a thousand times in the past few minutes," Seonghwa replied, his focus still on the task at hand. She took a seat beside him, noticing the tension in his expression.

After a brief moment, she decided to lean her head against his, ear to ear, as if trying to listen to the locker herself. "Is it open yet?" she inquired, her voice muffled by the proximity.

"No, and can you please be quiet? I'm trying to keep my patience here," he responded, a hint of amusement softening his tone.

Hypaxia pulled back and observed him for the next several minutes. His breaths came out softly, and his eyes closed as he concentrated on the task at hand. Suddenly, a distinct ping made his eyes flash open.

"Done," he muttered, pulling back from the locker vault, a sense of accomplishment evident in his expression.

He opened the locker, and both of them looked on with anticipation, but their faces dipped in disappointment simultaneously."Oh, it's empty," Hypaxia remarked, a tinge of frustration in her voice.

Seonghwa quickly noticed a hidden compartment and pushed a wooden part, revealing a black vial containing the precious antidote.

"It's a trap door! That sly bastard," he exclaimed, a mixture of relief and triumph coloring his words.

Seonghwa carefully retrieved the vial from the hidden compartment, handling it with utmost care. The black liquid inside shimmered faintly, a potent remedy for the hafgufa's sting.

"We got it," Seonghwa said with a victorious grin, a sense of accomplishment evident in his eyes. She couldn't help but share in his relief.

They both stood up almost immediately

"Hold him up and tilt his neck back," Seonghwa said as she nodded and held Soren up

Seonghwa carefully tilted her brother's neck back, creating a clear passage for the administration of the antidote. The vial, containing the precious remedy, glittered in the soft glow of the lanterns within the sick bay.

"Here goes nothing," she murmured, the anticipation palpable in her voice as he gently began to administer the antidote. The black liquid flowed steadily from the vial into her brother's system, and a collective breath seemed to be held within the confined space.

As the last drop of the antidote entered his bloodstream, she released a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. The ship, still navigating through the night waters, seemed to echo the quiet hope that had settled in the room.

Seonghwa observed the process with a reassuring presence, his eyes reflecting a mixture of relief and concern. Once the administration was complete, Hypaxia carefully laid her brother back down, his form appearing more at ease than before.

They both sat at his side, staring intently at his figure like two ghosts observing prey.

As the hours passed, subtle changes began to unfold. Her brother's breathing, once labored, became more rhythmic. The color returned to his cheeks, and a glimmer of life sparkled in his eyes. The antidote had started to counteract the venom's effects, bringing a gradual restoration of health.
