The night of the full moon

Under the luminous embrace of the full moon, the ship lay enveloped in a tranquil hush, its crew lost in the embrace of sleep. Alone on the deck, Hongjoong, the captain, stood in silent contemplation, his eyes fixed on the horizon where the moonlight danced upon the undulating waves.

A sudden movement caught his attention, drawing his gaze downward to the water's edge. There, amidst the shimmering ripples, a figure emerged, ethereal and alluring. It was hypaxia, her form illuminated by the moon's gentle glow as she began to dance upon the surface of the sea.

Her movements were mesmerizing, each sway of her hips and twist of her body a hypnotic rhythm that stirred something deep within Hongjoong's soul. He watched, transfixed, as she moved with a grace that seemed otherworldly, her song weaving a spell that enraptured his senses.

Despite the danger that lurked in her enchanting presence, Hongjoong found himself drawn to her, his heart pounding with a mixture of fear and desire. To him, the attraction he felt at that moment felt akin to a Siren's call that dragged a mariner to their doom.

As she danced, her eyes met his, and for a fleeting moment, time seemed to stand still. In that brief exchange, Hongjoong felt a blush creep up his ears for the first time.

"What have you done to me..." he whispered softly, his voice barely audible above the gentle lull of the waves. In the siren's gaze, he saw a reflection of his own longing, a silent plea that tugged at his heartstrings with an irresistible force.

"Captain!" Hypaxia exclaimed nervously stopping her dance

"Hey Daphne, didn't mean to interrupt you," He said and turned around hastily walking away

Hypaxia huffed annoyed as she held her forehead

The Moon was already out and her powers were strengthened, yet Hongjoong still seemed to hold a certain kindness in his eyes, one that was supposed to change after her magic wore off.

As Hongjoong retreated from the edge of the deck, his heart raced with a mixture of confusion and longing. The encounter with Daphne had stirred something deep within him, a longing he struggled to comprehend. He couldn't deny the pull he felt towards her, a magnetic force that seemed to defy reason. Lost in his thoughts, Hongjoong paced the length of the deck, the rhythmic sound of his footsteps echoing in the stillness of the night. He couldn't shake the image of Daphne's mesmerizing dance from his mind, her ethereal beauty haunting his thoughts like a lingering dream.

As he pondered the implications of their encounter, a voice broke through the silence, pulling him back to the present moment.

"Joong, are you alright?" Seonghwa's concerned voice cut through the night air, drawing Hongjoong's attention away from his turbulent thoughts. Hongjoong forced a smile, masking the turmoil within. "I'm fine, Seonghwa. Just lost in thought, that's all."Seonghwa regarded him with a knowing look, his eyes betraying a hint of concern. "If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you, Captain."

"Thank you, Hwa," Hongjoong replied, grateful for his first mate's unwavering support. But even as he spoke the words, he couldn't shake the lingering sense of unease that lingered in the depths of his soul.

As the night wore on, Hongjoong found himself unable to shake the memory of Daphne's enchanting dance. Despite his best efforts to push her from his mind, her image remained etched in his thoughts, a tantalizing temptation that he struggled to resist.

The black pearl sailed for many more weeks, perhaps even months - it was pretty hard to tell. But the crew would stop off at land to restock now and then, so perhaps the latter was more appropriate. Mingi continued to be unrequitedly in love with Yunho, and none of the crew's memories regarding Mingi from before returned.

Captain avoided the crew like the plague, sleeping during the day and sailing during the night. He wouldn't even join the communal dinners.

Seonghwa thought the man was going through his aged withdrawals, Jongho thought he was in love with Daphne but it was something the crew wouldn't even imagine.

Hongjoong lay in bed holding his nose alongside the various tissues in his hands, his nose bleeding like a red sea--his time was near. The contract was ending, his life was ending.

The devil fruit experiment granted the consumer the strongest power they could have but it reduced their lifeline, all the other consumers were dead. He was the only one alive. He knew his life was ending, and it was getting more and more harder for him to hide the various bruises and nose bleeds from Seonghwa.

Or perhaps it wasn't death but something minor but guess he'll never find out.

Seonghwa's abrupt entrance into the captain's quarters startled Hongjoong, causing him to jolt upright and hastily conceal the tissues he had been using to wipe away the evidence of his sickness.

"Pangdea is free from military rule," Seonghwa announced, his voice strained with emotion as he struggled to catch his breath.

The news struck Hongjoong like a bolt of lightning, igniting a spark of hope within his heart. "What-?" he managed to utter before a rasping cough seized his throat, momentarily stealing his voice.

Unperturbed by Hongjoong's struggle, Seonghwa thrust the newspaper into his hands, his eyes shining with unshed tears. "Our homeland is free, Joong. We can finally return, and reunite with our family," he declared, his voice trembling with a mixture of disbelief and joy.

Hongjoong's heart swelled with emotion at the thought of returning to Pangdea, the land they had longed for, the land they had fought for. For the first time in years, the prospect of reuniting with their loved ones seemed within reach, a beacon of hope amidst the darkness that had shrouded their past.

Determined to seize this opportunity, Hongjoong rose to his feet, his resolve unwavering.

"Then we set sail for Pangdea," he proclaimed, his voice ringing with determination as he strode purposefully toward the helm where Mingi stood at the wheel, guiding the ship through the open sea.

With a map in hand, Hongjoong beckoned to Mingi, his eyes alight with anticipation. "We sail for Pangdea. How far is it?" he inquired, his gaze fixed on the horizon where the faint outline of their destination beckoned in the distance.

Mingi studied the map intently, his brow furrowed in concentration as he calculated their approximate distance from Pangdea. After a moment of contemplation, he looked up, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Not very far, Captain. We should reach Pangdea within a day or two," Mingi replied, his voice filled with quiet confidence as he charted their course toward the land his captain had longed to return to.
