"You ready for school tomorrow?" My dad asks, coming into my room.
School. Even saying or hearing the word makes me want to crawl into a hole and disappear forever. Not to be dramatic but...
It's the place where nobody wants to be—well, maybe not everybody but you get it.
It's like a prison! I hate it, and they're always teaching us the most useless stuff that has nothing to do with the future—and not to mention that the school system is always complete crap.
So no, I am not ready.
"Yeah, I guess." I lie.
"You're going to have a good day, don't think about it too much." He assures me.
"Yeah right. The first days aren't always good. The next thing I know, I get lost and I'm ten minutes late to third period." I sigh and look out my window.
"Negativity gets you nowhere, child." He pats my back and walks out.
While sitting there, I realize something. My dad is extremely optimistic, he always tries to find the good in everything no matter the disadvantages. I wish I could be like that, why couldn't I get that from him?
I sigh, grabbing my phone and starting to text Louis. I wonder if he goes to the same school...
