MAYA

I put a comfy sweater on, getting ready to watch Netflix, when I get a text message.

Grabbing my phone and checking the notification, I see a text from Joe. Well well well, he sure has been keeping in contact lately.

I ended up choosing to be only friends with him. I know, very dumb. Of course, he didn't see it coming—however, he still accepted it. I felt horrible though, he even told me: "oh, I understand. We can stop talking if you want, it's completely your choice."

It almost broke my heart. He deserves so much better.

I didn't want to stop talking to him, because he's actually a great person and I'm very fond of him! It would be wrong to cut him off like that.

After we got our fruit bowls, we watched Netflix together at my apartment. I can say that it wasn't much of a good idea to watch Gilmore Girls with Joe... I have to say, it was quite interesting.

To begin with, he was absolutely intrigued by the drama. He was surprised by how much "tea" there was, and I told him: That's Gilmore Girls for you.!

He was raging as if he was losing in a video game and taking sides back and forth, along with his "oh wait, she has a point though!" 's and "she's not wrong, she's not wrong."'s.
I'm not even going to lie, it was hilarious to watch.

But hey, I had the same reactions too when I first watched it.

"Joseph," I start off as I lead him to the front door of my apartment. "How did you like watching Gilmore Girls?" I ask a little too dramatically with a smile on my face, opening the door to walk him out.

"I loved everything about it, especially the tea." He grins, fiddling with his car keys. "I'm willing to watch more of it."

"Now hold on," I chuckle. "Don't watch it without me, okay? Just- just don't."

I couldn't let him know that I wanted to see more of his reactions, especially since I recorded him earlier..

"W-"

"Promise you won't watch without me."

He bites his lip, trying to avoid laughing. "If you say so. I promise I won't watch it without you."
