LOUIS
Two weeks later.
"So? Did you tell her yet?" Caleb questions as we sit in my room, playing video games.
I eventually told him that Y/n was the girl I like. He wasn't surprised or shocked at all, according to him, he knew there was going to be something going on with me and her. Overall, he was happy and said that he 100% ships us.
"Tell who what?" I ask, knowing exactly who he's talking about but playing dumb anyway.
"Don't act dumb, bro."
I sigh. "Okay, okay! No, I haven't told her yet." I admit, being ashamed of myself.
Caleb dramatically sets his controller down and stands up. "Are you serious, man?! You still haven't told her? It's been two weeks! What are you waiting for?"
"I know, I'm mad at myself too. I'm stupid, I just- I don't know! I'm still nervous about it."
"Didn't you do what I told you to get over it?"
"Yes, I did. I took your advice and thought it through. But- look, I promise I'm going to do it today."
"Nope, you're going to do it right now." He turns the television off just as I was going to win and pushes me out the room, then out the house. "Now, go to her front door, knock, ask to talk to her, go up to her room, and tell her your feelings."
"Okay dad."
"I shouldn't be forcing you to do this, man. Now go, or you'll be seeing her kissing your worst enemy the next few days."
"You know, you should consider signing up for Theatre." Rolling my eyes, I go up to her front door and knock. After what seemed like not even five seconds, the door opens, revealing a joyful Y/n smiling at me.
"Hiii! Come in!" She greets, moving to the side so I can step in the house.
"Hi, can I talk to you?" I ask, gulping. "I need to speak to you about something."
Her face expressions instantly turn serious, a little curious as well. Well, I sure did sound devastating with those words.
"Yeah sure! But quick question, how serious is it from one to ten?"
"Most likely a nine point five."
"Oh. Let's go to my room, then. I don't want someone eavesdropping. Someone, meaning Noah since he has ears like Dumbo."
I nod, almost laughing, and follow her up to her bedroom.
Come on, Louis. You can do this. I mutter to myself. Just take a deep breath, shake it off. What Caleb said. Get rid of the nervousness. Well, anxiety, to be precise.
"So, Y/n, do- do you remember the day we ditched school and I was going to tell you something?"
"Mhm. I remember."
"Okay good. What I'm going to tell you at this moment has to do with what I was going to say on that day."
"Gosh, you're scaring me- you're making it sound like you've been planning to murder me or something. But go on..."
I chuckle. "No, not at all. But back to the point," I take a deep breath and look at
Y/n in the eyes. "I've been keeping this to myself and hesitating for the past almost two months, now is the time to finally let it out. Y/n, I... I like you. It took me a while to figure it out but I'm 100% sure I like you. Ever since I met you, I discovered this personality of yours. And I love this personality, I love everything about you. I totally understand if you don't feel the same way about me, and, I'm sorry if this affects us and our friendship but- I just needed to tell you this."
