Y/N

It was currently 22:00, the night before my flight back to France.

Sitting on the edge of my bed, I look down at the small painting in my hands, another painting I'd just made a few minutes ago.

It was dedicated to Louis. I don't know, I just thought of him the whole time while doing the art on my canvas. I should give it to him, meet him outside in the front of his house. It would be nice to see him before I leave too. Ah, why not?

It was quite cold outside, so I put a sweater on along with a pair of uggs. Grabbing the canvas, I quietly rush down the stairs and open the front door. As I head outside, I see a familiar tall silhouette in his front porch.

"Here you go." I say, handing him the canvas when I walk up to him.

He looks down, admiring it as he traces the details with the tip of his index finger, very gently, as if it's fragile as glass. "Oh, so this is what you wanted to give me... I absolutely love it."

"Good." I grin, putting my hands behind my back.

"When did you make this?"

"Just 20 minutes ago."

"Wow. This is pure talent."

"Thanks. Well, I have to go. See you later-"

"Wait, would you like some chocolate chip cookies? My sister made them earlier."

"Sure! But you already know cookies are my comfort food so don't be surprised if I take all of them."

"Please, take as much as you want."

"If you say so..." as I walk in his house, I see his sister, Millie, on the couch as Knives Out plays on the television. She turns and waves at me, I wave back with a smile.

Millie and I have always gotten along, I'd just love to have her as my younger sister. I never really understood why Louis is always messing with her, she's amazing. We have the exact same elite taste in films, too! We nerd them out nonstop.

Louis leads me to his kitchen, basically luxurious (seriously, I'm dumbfounded just looking at the new items they purchase within each of my visits), he hands me a small plastic zip-loc bag. "Here, take all you want."

I nod, grabbing a few cookies and placing them in the bag. When I looked at the four I grabbed, I decided to take a few extra for the flight back home tomorrow.

"I must get going," I turn around, walking towards the door. "Thank you for the cookies, Lou."

"Of course! Would you like to stay for a bit?"

I press my lips together, slowly shaking my head, knowing very well I'd love to stay, wishing I could. "I have to get going, thank you though. Uh, but, I'll see you later."

"Oh okay, see you later."

I nod. "Bye Millie." I wave, walking out the house.

It was early morning, and I was about to leave for my flight to France.

Ah well, I wouldn't call it early morning. It was only 7:20 am. Dad was driving me to the airport, it was very odd of him to wake up at 6 am just to take me there. Again, it was very sweet.

"We're here." He announces, making me look up from my book as he pulls up in front of the building.

"Yep, here we are." I mumble to myself.

"Take care of yourself, okay kid?" My dad tells me, putting a hand on my shoulder, giving me a half-smile.

"I will, don't worry. I'll be alright." I reassure him. "Would you like me to get you anything while I'm there?"

"Yes, please, how about my old baguette back?" He asks, referring to the time a stranger carelessly snatched the baguette from his hands just when we were taking pictures in front of the Arc De Triomphe.

I snort, grabbing my luggage and opening the car door, memories flashing through my mind. "Dad, please, let it go already- that 'incident' of yours happened 8 years ago!"

"Still! That was a good baguette, you know? Parfait, I tell you."

"I know, I always got my pastries from that boulangerie, you know." I joke, stepping out of the car. "I have to get going. Oh, I forgot to tell you, my phone is going to be turned off when I land, just so you know."

"Okay. Be careful, Y/n. I'll see you... next week?"

"Yes, next week, on Sunday."

"Alright. Bye, Y/n. Love you."

"Bye, love you too." I close the car door and wave goodbye as he drives away.

I turn around and head inside the airport, a feeling of sadness floating around me, almost telling me to decline and go back.

Here we are. Heading back home.
