"I would go out tonight, but I haven't got a stitch to wear..." the lyric from the song 'This Charming Man' played on Y/n's record player as her and Louis painted in the girl's room.

The new couple decided to spend some quality time together, doing two of their favorite activities—listening to music and making paintings. Before the sun was to set, the both of them would go to a few stores with Noah to get a few gifts for the siblings' father as they'd planned; for his birthday was in two days.

"Come on, I'm right behind you! What are you doing?!" Noah shouts from his room as he plays his video game, along with several curse words.

"For gosh sake, watch your language!" His father shouts back from the living room downstairs.

Y/n and Louis look at each other and immediately start laughing. It may not actually have been humorous, but for them, it was—considering the fact that they find almost everything hilarious.

Back to their paintings, Louis thought it'd be cute if he painted something for her, and her for him. Almost like an exchange, one not knowing what the other was making.

"You done?" Y/n questions, picking up her canvas with her hands covered in wet paint.

"Mhm." Louis replies, picking up his canvas as well with a bright smile. "On the count of three, we switch canvases. Got it?"

"Got it." Y/n had always been thrilled for small things like this. It was almost like she was still a child at her heart. Soon, she would officially turn 18.

"One, two, three-" they both switched canvases. Both their faces lighting up with nothing but awe in their eyes.

Y/n's painting was a landscape. Louis knew how much she adored landscapes, landscapes of pretty much anything. From a simple countryside or small alleyway to the image of the villages in Germany, even. But hers was special, it was the view of one of the places in Italy she'd dreamed of visiting one day: Pórtofino. It had the expanded amount of the water in front of the several vintage buildings, estates, and shops in the centre.

"You did all this in two hours?" Y/n asked as she admired the whole thing, inspecting every detail. She knew Louis moved very fast when it came to art, although, she just couldn't get over how detailed it was. How realistic it was, including the shade of the body of water.

"I did," he smirks with pride. "Those two hours went by very slowly, I have to admit."

"This may be the best piece of art I've ever seen in a while- it's perfect." She comments, not taking her eyes off of it. "I love it, thank you." She says, finally looking up at him and placing the canvas down on the table, then reaching forward to kiss him on the cheek.

"You're welcome. Thank you for mine, it's beautiful." He answers, locking eyes with her.

Blushing, Y/n looks away and puts a hand on her face to cover it.

"I know you're blushing, love." Louis says, stating the obvious. Little did Y/n know, he thought it was cute when her cheeks started turning a shade of pink.

"Whatever." She laughs and puts her hand down, making eye contact again. She soon got up and sat on her bed, looking out the window mindlessly. After a moment of silence, she looks away and back at the brunette. "Hey, you know, I uh- I've been thinking about my future, a lot. And I've come to some choices. A choice, actually. It's the only one I feel like sticking with."

"I'm listening." Louis turns all his attention to the girl, his eyes watching and his ears listening.

"Well, I really do want to be an artist. I want to have the privilege to sell my work, have my own museum, possibly. Become one of those people. W- we could even work together! Just imagine, it would be great!!"

Louis smiles at her ideas. "It would be absolutely brilliant. And I would love to work with you, darling. Any day."

"Really? You don't have to, if you want to be something other than an artist. I don't want to drag you into-"

"If it's with you, then that's all I could ever want. I'll be perfectly fine with it." He interrupts.

He meant it, too. He meant everything. If he was with her, he would be okay with it. He would love to support her as well—support each other. The idea of it was now posted in both their heads. They had hope, they had a feeling it would work out. That it could happen.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm positive." Louis gets up and sits besides her on her bed, placing his warm hand on hers.

"I'm also planning on going to art school... for a beginning, you know?" Y/n starts off, once more.

He nods. "That's a good idea."

"Mhm."

"Maybe, I can go with you?" He offers, lightly squeezing her hand.

Putting a strand of hair behind her ear, she nods.
"Of course, I'd love that."

"Find one that you like and let me know so we can apply together, hm?"

"About that, I already have. It's here in London, too."

"Oh, that's great! What's the name?"

"From what I remember, it's called 'Putney School of Art and Design.' I checked it out online, it looks pretty nice."

"Do you know when you want to apply?"

"Since we've agreed on everything, maybe tomorrow? Or perhaps the day after. Definitely the day after."

"Sounds good! Let me know before you do it so we can do it together, okay?"

"Okay. In all honesty, I'm... a little nervous."

"You're going to be just fine, darling."

Y/n leaned towards her boyfriend, connecting both their lips together, forming a sweet kiss.
