"Ahhh" the 19-year-old girl exhaled, stretching her short arms out above her head. "It's so cold," she sighs as turns her head to look outside the bus window. She wasn't a morning person but man did she want to be. She loved how calm and beautiful the outside world looked and she loved how quiet everything was.

Today was a big day for her, the start of the first semester. She was filled with excitement, she picked out her outfit the night before and woke up extra early just to make sure she could get her hair right. She wore a white turtleneck with a white and black sweater vest on top. She tied her hair up with a scarf around the top of her braids, she wore her favorite blue high tops to go with her blue jeans. She was ready for anything and everything today. "Good morning to you too!!" She says to the refreshing sun and blue sky. The trees responded by waving their leaves and the sun offered a warm smile back. Usually, T is on the bus by herself at this time so she didn't notice the young man sitting in the back. He takes out his left earbud in confusion, "is she talking to me?" He thinks. T had a sudden feeling that eyes were on her. she looks back without thinking. Her eyes widen when they met his. "D-did you say something to me ?" He asks her in a small voice, probably coming off a little judgmental. T shakes her head quickly "o-o no I'm sorry I didn't, I thought... I'm usually the only one on the bus this early sorry I'll be quiet," she says frantically. He places his earbud back in and continues like nothing ever happened. "She's really cute... too bad she's crazy," he says under his breath. At that moment T wished she would just roll over a burn "stupid stupid stupid," she thinks to herself. "Can I EVER just.... I don't know.... Not be weird?!!" She fiddles with the blond braid that she intentionally left out and tucks the black one behind her ear.
7:12am
On that short bus ride, the boy couldn't help but take a mental picture of the girl in front of him. He was too distracted to continue listening to his podcast. As a voice chatted in his ears his mind was on someone else. "Man she's weird," he thinks. "But she's really pretty, does she go to my school? She hasn't gotten off yet...so maybe?" T turns her head in instincts, feeling as though someone was looking at her. She makes eye contact with him again, mentally boxing herself. She couldn't help but notice the boy's eyes quickly shift toward the window he was next to and his face having a slight pink tint to it. She looks away and then back at him. Moving suddenly, T gets up and tries to move toward him, while the bus is still in motion, and she holds on to the polls to keep balance. The boy's eyes widen when he realizes she was moving toward him. He shifts uncomfortably, not understanding what to do with his body. Without pausing his podcast he removes his right earbud as T sits on that side. T looks at him in concern. "Um! Are you okay? You're face got red all of a sudden, are you feeling sick ?!" She speaks loudly. The boy's face gets redder due to the closeness and the newfound beauty he has discovered in her. She was so beautiful to him, really loud though. She smiles at him "don't worry I'm a nurse... well nurse assistant, if you aren't feeling okay, I can help... kinda ... do you mind if I check your temp??" She says, once again speaking frantically. His eyes widen "I um... I-I'm okay, don't worry about me... I-it's just... warm.. is all," he says. T's eyes widen "warm???? It's 20 degrees outside!" The boy realized his mistake but it was too late to take it back. "Sorry," T says before placing her hand on his forehead. It was like time stopped moving for him, her hands felt so soft and gentle. For the slight second it was on his forehead, it felt like electricity was passing though his body. The boy moves away quickly, "I promise I'm fine!" he shouts. T moves away shocked. The bus driver, Jean, looks through the reflection of the rear-view mirror and says, "girl if you don't leave that poor boy alone it is too damn early for y'all to be shouting on my bus," T rubs the back of her neck awkwardly, "s-sorry miss Jean I didn't mean to startle him, I was just trying to help," she smiles trying to relieve some of the awkwardness.
" Sorry about that! But if you say you're okay I'll trust you! By the way, my name is T! What's yours??" The young man not being able to follow the quickness of the conversation blinks frantically, "J-Jay." Well, it's nice to meet you Jay! This  is my stop so I'm leaving..." T looks down at her lap before getting up, and Jay can tell just by her face that she had something to say. "And ...again, I'm real sorry!"
7:19am

She got up as the bus came to a stop and exited the left side door. Jay freezes trying to process everything. He was the shy type but a lot of people see it as intimidating. He was quite the opposite, he got flustered easily, he hated getting nervous and messing up when he spoke, so he just decided to stop speaking altogether. He wasn't used to people openly coming up to him to talk or anything... Well, maybe girls, but it was usually for his number. He had never met anyone who could be so worried for a stranger like that either, and in all his 19 years he'd never met anyone who could talk that fast. "Jay, was your name right?" Jean says, looking at him through the mirror. He shakes his head slowly. "Don't worry about her, she sure can talk! I don't even think auctioners can talk as fast as that girl! But she's a sweetheart, and can't remember a thing! She'll get over it tomorrow. Shoot, she'll probably even introduce herself if you see her again!" Jean laughs at her joke, as jay slightly chuckles at it. "Anyways my point is this is also your stop right? Please exit my bus young man I ain't got time for you to be reliving current events!! I gots places to be!" Jay looks out the window and realizes where he is. He gathers his stuff and hurries off the bus, "Thank you miss Jean!!" He shouts as he gets off the bus. "Alright now," Jean says as she waves goodbye. "They going to be so cute together," Jean says to herself.
