chapter twenty one━almost grown season seven, episode five

By having his lips against hers, she had lost all concept of time and place.
If you asked Aliya Levine where she was right this second, she probably would say she was on Saturn and think that was the correct answer to the question, because that seemed much more likely than where she was now.
In the resident's lounge.
Kissing Jackson freaking Avery with every inch of her skin on fire.
And, if you asked Aliya how long she had been kissing Jackson Avery for— well, you would have to look at the crimson red blush that was covering the skin on her chest for clues and judging by her lack of coherent thoughts, the best answer to that would be a very long time.
Her hands grew hungry for him and even though they were exceptionally close already, it still wasn't close enough for her. So, she intertwined her hands around his neck, pulling him closer to her and deepening their kiss even further.
Jackson's hands burnt a trail across her waist and hips, causing her breathing to hitch at his touch and her stomach to flip upside down.
The beauty of this moment was that there were no consequences to what they were doing. To them, nothing else mattered right now except each other.
But, when reality knocked on their front door and they would have to face the consequences of their actions and the definition of what this was.
The reality check came quicker than anticipated as Aliya felt her upper thigh vibrate against the pocket of Jackson's scrubs, where his pager was buzzing from.
They broke apart breathless, their chests rising and falling in time with each other as they finally came up for air.
"I should probably get that." Jackson said in between shallow breaths when their eyes met and they were forced to face the music.
"You probably should. I mean, think of how many people could've died in the past—" She would've glanced at the clock to check the time, but she didn't even notice what the time even was before all of this. She didn't know what it was that made her start to laugh at this whole interaction, but she would point the blame at the adrenaline coursing through her body. "I'm sorry—"
