"You know," April said through panting and gasping for breath, running alongside both Aliya and Trent as she inhaled the ice cold air of Seattle in January. "When you said we'd do something, just the three of us, I didn't expect—"

The Kepner woman gasped yet again, because running and talking didn't really go hand in hand with each other.

And, what Aliya really needed right now was in fact silence.

Last week had proved hellish to say the least and all she wanted was some time alone instead to drown in her own mind but it seemed that her bother and his girlfriend had other plans.

However, the recent events that had led to this hellish week wasn't as if Aliya could exactly be mad about it, seeing as it probably was all of her fault it had even happened in the first place. Even though she was way too proud and stubborn to admit it.

Firstly, she broke up with her boyfriend. And, that was even the start seeing as she had a very public spat with him, labelled a "war" by med students.

Med students!

Freaking med students.

They wouldn't even be able to point out a diseased liver from a line up!

Med students were weak, gutless and thoughtless which was discussed by the residents at lunch however, at the time Aliya hadn't agreed but that was before the whole "war" thing.

Now to her, they were weak, gutless and thoughtless.

To top it all off, she had exactly no idea what the hell to do with all of Andy's belongings. So, there was another thought to add to the books.

Aliya gritted her teeth as her trainers pounded on the pavement, wondering when she would snap and eventually scream at the happy couple to go back to their happy lives and leave her alone.

"Don't get me wrong," April rambled on, her cheeks growing even pinker than before and her lips even bluer. "It's great."
