SONG: Under My Thumb by The Rolling Stones
_____
'So, Ida,' Jackie said, 'Valentine's Day is tomorrow. What did Jeremy and you plan out to do? Is he taking you out on a romantic dinner? It is your first Valentine's together and because of that, it should be really special.'
She and Ida met up in the morning to got to the mall together. Since tomorrow was the 14th of February, everybody was planning to do something with their significant other, and Jackie just had boost about Valentine's Day and to scoop out what Ida was doing.
'Well, neither of us is really into Valentine's Day that much so we planned out to stay late at the store together and play some music,' Ida answered. 'He said he'd teach me to play some songs.'
'That's it?' Jackie asked, confused. 'That's lame. Your first Valentine's should be big. I'm talking chocolates, flowers, a movie...' She gasped. 'He's a musician. He should serenade you! For our first Valentine's, Michael got me this huge bouquet of roses. It was beautiful and they were really fresh.'
Ida tried not to laugh, remembering that Kelso cut out the flowers from the front yard of Eric's neighbor, Mrs. Smith and then got chased by her bulldog. 'Don't worry about me and Jeremy, Jackie. Everyone has their own way of doing romantic stuff.'
Jackie did not want to accept it. 'But you're closing the store... though if he'll be teaching you to play, then he'll probably have to hold your hand- aw, that would be so romantic!' She said and jumped a few times as they rounded into the Formans' driveway. 'But still, you should suggest something else, because that isn't enough for Valentine's Day. It is the day when you show love to your significant other and because of that, he should show you he loves you by buying you things.'
'Well, I don't need my boyfriend to buy me stuff so that I could feel loved by him, and besides Valentine's Day is stupid anyways,' Ida said. 'You do whatever you want during the entire year and then all of a sudden, you have to show love to your boyfriend or girlfriend one entire day. You should show your love and appreciation to them every day.'
'I agree with that,' Jackie replied. 'That's why we should make Valentine's Day every day. Just imagine how many gifts Michael would buy me then!'
Ida rolled her eyes but smiled and then was about to go down the stairs that led to the basement, when she saw Eric and Donna leaning in for a kiss at the bottom, next to the door. 'Ops.'
They both looked up, seeming a bit annoyed that the two girls broke their moment to kiss. Jackie passed straight by Ida and climbed down the stairs, looking between the two of them. 'Hey, guys. So, what's going on?'
Donna smiled awkwardly, tapping them both on the shoulder. 'I'll... talk to you guys later.' She went up and passed by Ida.
'So, what, I don't get a hi now?' Ida asked her, still standing at the top of the stairs and looking after her friend.
'Sorry,' Donna said and waved at her. 'Hi! Also, call me when you get home; we have to talk.' Then she headed to her house.
Ida shook her head and then finally climbed down to the basement where the rest of the crew was. 'Hey,' she told them, setting aside her backpack and taking a seat next to Jackie on the couch. She looked at Eric. 'Sorry for interrupting the moment.'
Eric shrugged it off. 'No, it's fine. We're going out to dinner tomorrow night. For Valentine's Day.'
'Oh,' Ida replied. 'That's great. I guess that's what Donna wanted to call me about.'
'She wanted to tell you about it?' he beamed.
Ida nodded. 'Yea. She looked really excited when she told me to give her a call when I get home. It's really nice that you guys are finally going out on real date together. Where are you going?'
