If She Fall

Part XV

[[ May 31, 2021, 4:00 p.m. - Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea ]]

"Ji-hyeon."

"Oh." She said when she sees me in front of her. "Hi, Yoongi!" She gives me an awkward smile.

"Is Y/N not around?"

"Didn't she tell you she's taking a week off from school and that she went home last Saturday after meeting you up?"

"No, she didn't."

She cocks her eyebrow and gives me a confuse expression. "I thought she told you."

"She's not picking up my calls as well. Is she somewhat avoiding me, Ji-hyeon."

"I am... not sure." She said while averting her gaze from me. "Maybe?"

"Did I do something wrong because I can't remember anything aside from talking to her last Saturday." There was a trace of exasperation in my voice. "She did tell you something right?"

"I am sorry, Yoongi but I think it would be better if you just talk to Y/N again." She said while giving me an apologetic smile. "It's not my story to tell to begin with."

A deep sigh escaped my mouth, "I'll try calling her again. Sorry for coming up to you suddenly."

"It's okay." She said while giving me a light tap on my shoulder. "I hope you two sort this thing out immediately. Y/N looks so happy whenever she's with you. And I always want her to be that happy."

"But I think she doesn't want to see me that's why she took a leave off from school."

"No. Just give her some time then call her again in a while." She stops putting her things on her bag and face me again. "Y/N can be fickle and hard headed you know."

"I know." I said smiling. "But she's understanding and strong."

"She is." She smile while looking at her hands. "Y/N is someone you can always depend on and I hope you can be that someone she can depend on as well."

"I hope I can be that someone as well."

"And you are, Yoongi." She give me one last glance before picking up her stuff. "I need to go now. I hope that Y/N will answer your call. Also, thank you for making her happy. I am grateful to you for that." She waves goodbye and rushes out of our room leaving me with nothing but a faint smile on my face.

[[ May 31, 2021, 9:30 p.m. - Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul ]]

"Great. Now Y/N's avoiding me." I said while slumping down on our couch.

Jin hyung looks at me for a moment before turning his gaze back on the television.

"Hyung, I said Y/N is avoiding me."

"I know. I heard you." His eyes still fixated on the screen.

"That's it?" I said surprised. "You are not going to say anything or make fun of me?"

"Yoongi, not everything should be taken as a big deal." He said non-chalantly. "Maybe, Y/N just want to have some peace of mind."

"What do you mean?"

"I said you are making her confuse." He lowered the volume down and continue speaking. "You are making her question her disposition in your life."

"I told her I like her. Is that because of it?"

"But you're still not over Chaeyeon right?" My lips form a tight line. "You told her you like her but you're still trap in your past. Tell me if you are in her position what will you do as well?"
