Y/N POV
---
Once I reach home, my mother immediately bombards me with questions. Her eyes widen when she saw Jungkook,
who had walked me home.
Calmly, he tells her,
“She slipped and fell, that’s why she looks like this.”
She believes him. Everyone in my family knows Jungkook—he's always been there. His mother and mine are close friends, and they trust him completely.
After he leaves, I walk into my room and stare at myself in the mirror.
What do I even see?
A girl—so weak, so pathetically broken. One who never fights back. Not in love, not in rage. She just… endures. Always has. Always will?
My eyes fall on the bandage across my forehead, a painful reminder of the cut—just one of many marks that’ll probably come. Deep down, I know this isn’t over.
Kevin isn’t done.
He’s just getting started.
When he said he'd ruin my life, he meant it. And knowing him… he’ll keep his word.
But what hurts the most isn’t what he did—it’s what he didn’t do.
He never confronted me.
Had he asked, had he looked me in the eyes, I would’ve explained everything.
I would’ve apologized.
Instead, he chose to humiliate me. He turned my silence into guilt.
I unlock my phone.
The screen lights up with dozens of messages. All pointing fingers. All demanding answers.
What did you do?
Who is that guy?
Why would you betray him like this?
They don't know the truth. And for now, it’s better they don’t. Because if Taehyung’s name gets dragged into this… I’ll drag him down with me—and I don’t want that.
I look over at my bedside table. The little penguin keychain stares back at me. I smile, faintly.
It hits me—no guy can make me feel truly safe. Or loved.
The love I’ve been searching for? It doesn’t exist in someone else.
Maybe it’s time I give it to myself.
Just then, a new notification pops up.
Jisoo: “Be ready tomorrow. I booked an appointment for you.”
Jisoo: “A therapist. Don’t argue with me. You’re going.”
Another one follows:
Jisoo: “Also… whoever shared that video—I swear I’ll find them. Two days. Give me two days, Y/N.”
I blink.
“Shit…”
I whisper.
Jisoo has flipped.
If she’s serious—and she always is—she’ll burn this entire school to the ground.
---
The morning felt heavier than usual. My feet dragged against the floor, heart pounding like a warning bell. I didn’t want to go.
