Chapter 4: Out of the team.

At Gyro's lab, Fenton, Ariel and Alex are having a discussion. "Are you loco" Fenton yelled. "Do you have any idea what you just done?" "I helped out" said Alex. "Isn't that a reward? At least show some appreciation." "I am, and I'm proud of you, but crushing another man's wrist is not how we good guys save the day" said Fenton. "You're lucky that they weren't broken. Sooner or later, Ma Beagle will file up a lawsuit. And believe me, you would not want to see her get mad." "Oh please" said Alex. "I helped you find the Beagle Boys and they really deserved it. They're bad at being good brothers. Consider yourself lucky to have me." "Mija, take him outside" said Fenton. "If he's gonna talk to me like that, then he's no longer part of our team." The two walked out as they took an exit. "Intern" yelled Gyro. "I'm coming" said Fenton. "I may get yelled at by my boss, but I don't accept it from a teenager."

Alex and Ariel started having a conversation. "Hey, don't beat yourself up for this" said Ariel.  "It was really nice of you, but you shouldn't be crushing bad guys's arms. Or leg for that matter." "Oh yeah, that's very helpful of you, you're very caring" said Alex in a sarcastic tone. Ariel felt surprised what she just heard. "Alex" she said. "Why would you say it like that?" "Here's a better question" said Alex in anger. "Why weren't you defending me?" "I....because I don't want my father to be disappointed in me. I didn't mean to hurt you." "Then you should've thought about it earlier" said Alex. "Who needs Gizmo? If he were just like me, I would show villains no mercy until they give up. So much for being an idiot." "That's my father you're talking about" said Ariel. "What's gotten into you lately?" "I have no idea what you're talking about" said Alex. "All I'm saying is that I'm fine being a lone wolf than teaming up with a superhero who messes up a lot of times before." "He's just getting used to his suit" said Ariel. "Plus, you don't have to make fun of him." She turns away feeling upset. "And what if I have to" said Alex. "You're just having a rough day today" said Ariel. "Do you want to get something to eat or have fun? Do you know what cheers me up? Viewing the ocean. And look! The sun is setting down. That's one of your favorites right?" "Cut it out little mermaid" said Alex in anger. "Don't try to change the subject. You're an embarrassment to yourself for supporting a dimwit who can't do anything right. For you, you're weak!" Ariel starts to cry. (Oh no, I did it again) said Alex in his mind. "Oh no. Please don't be upset." Ariel started running away. Fedory feels shocked to what he witnessed. Alex hits his head twice for messing up. *Sigh. He starts to head to a different direction before he makes anything worse.

At McDuck manor, Erynn and the McDuck family arrived home after a fantastic adventure. "What an amazing ride" said Dewey. "We should do this again sometime" said Erynn. "I am having the best time of my life! I better record this in my diary later." "Okay you fun loving friends" said Della. "Love" questioned Dewey and Erynn. "No. It's not..." "I'm just kidding" said Della. "Or am I?" She gives a glare while the two blushes. "Gotcha again. Who's hungry?" Erynn's phone started vibrating. She pulls out from her pocket and received a text message from Ariel. "I'm sorry" said Erynn. "I gotta go. I'll see you tomorrow Dewey. Thanks again Della." She left out from the gate. "Hey Dewey" said Webby. "Where's Erynn?" "She just left" said Dewey. "Aw man" said Webby. "I wanted to invite her for a girl's sleepover. I've made a new friend. I bet she'll like her." "Me too Webbigail" said Dewey while blushing.

Erynn starts calling Ariel on her phone. "Hi Ari. Is everything okay?" "I don't think so" said Ariel. "Alex really hurt me." "What happened" Erynn questioned. "He almost broken two beagle boy's wrists" said Ariel. "I don't know why he thought it was a good idea to do that. I never seen him anything like it. Who is he?! He yelled at me and said really mean things about dad. Erynn explained, "Well... to tell you the truth, I think that wasn't the first time that happened. He yelled at me too when I first woke him up. I forgot to tell him at the exact time to meet Della. I asked if there's something wrong after we threw him a party. He said there's nothing wrong, but I can see that something is not okay. One I'll stop by at Alex's house, I'll have a chat with him. After that, we can call again." "Thank you" said Ariel. "I don't know what I'll do without you." "Take care, bye." She hangs up the phone.

Somewhere in Duckburg, at night, Alex heads in to the "Familiar Restaurant" to join in the "Happy Family Club". "Welcome new recruit" said the leader. "I'm the head of the club. You can call me Chris." He looks at Alex and Fedory as they met before. "Hey. I remember you." "You do" Alex questioned. "You're the guy who stopped Frank Geesness from destroying New Yolk City" said Chris. "You're amazing!" "Oh, why thank you" said Alex. "I don't get much attention, but it's a start. Also, my little buddy could get the attention too. It's not right to leave him hanging." "Anyways" Chris continues. "Here in the club, we're always supportive and here to help you with your problems. If there's anything you need, you can ask one of the members. There's Nemo, Jose, Spencer, Lisa and Wilbert." Wilbert drops a photo that lands next to Alex's foot. He picks it up and looked weird out. "Why do you have a photo of Lena" Alex questioned. "Don't mind him" said Chris. "Most of the times, we call him Sneak because he takes too much photos of Lena without being caught ever since he bumped right into her yesterday." (Well that's just creepy) said Alex in his mind. "Well..... that explains it. Who's the guy in the orange and blue sweater?" "No one cares" said Chris. "Well I should" said Alex. "I've already made Nemo as an assistant and have one more to open" said Chris. "Nemo" Alex questioned. "As in Finding Nemo? *LAUGH Eh....." "What's that" said Chris. (Oh yeah, that's right) said Alex in his mind. "How would you like to take the position" Christ questioned. Alex starts to think while scratching his chin and said "Well..." "Good, you're hired" said Chris. "I'll see you tomorrow night." "But wait" said Alex. A few minutes later, the restaurant closes and he starts walking straight back home.

Meanwhile, Erynn arrived at Alex's house to check if he's here. But there's nobody here. "Hey Erynn" said an anonymous voice. The person walks out from the shadow. "Oh hey Lena" said Erynn. "You startled me. Why are you here?" "Well I'm starting to feel like someone is spying on me" said Lena. "Also, I love to see my old house again. I don't spy your friend, so don't have any thoughts. Why are you here?" "It's a very important situation I need to discuss with him" said Erynn. "He has a bad temper today. I don't know if it's normal, but that's not what I heard from Ariel." "But it's late" said Lena. "Go home. Try to take some rest. Your family would start to worry about you. Once sparkles is home in the morning, try again." "Maybe you're right" said Erynn. "I am starting to feel tired. Plus, I have a very bad night routine. Good night." "Rest easy" said Lena. She watches Erynn walking to go home while recording her dialogue from her gadget gloves.

*CLICK! Lena hears a picture being taken. She starts running away and *BONK! She bumped right over at Alex as he's still standing. "I'm so sorry" he said. "Are you okay?" "Were you taking pictures of me" Lena questioned. "What, no" said Alex. "Who the heck even takes pictures of one random stranger every 5 minutes or so? I just got back home. What are you doing here anyways?" "Nothing" said Lena. "I just got lost and I'm very tired. That's all. Good night." She runs away as she wasn't seen. Sneak tells Alex to keep silence as he wants to keep going. *SIGH... "This day just keeps getting weirder. Isn't that right buddy?" Fedory was already fast a sleep. "Now I feel like I'm talking to myself" Alex continued. He walks inside of his house getting ready to go to bed.

Erynn is back at her new home with the Feathersons having a nice dinner. Mary starts to notice Erynn's concerned looked. "Is everything all right" said Mary. "You haven't touched your food." "I'm not hungry right now" said Erynn. "Do you want to talk about it" questioned Fawn. "It's personal" said Erynn. She walks to her room and lies on the bed looking up the ceiling. She closes the door and records her dialogue again. Mary walks pass by Erynn's and starts to eavesdrop on what's going on. "Erynn's diary. Number 165. By tomorrow morning, I'll ask Mary, Ben and Fawn to come by at the park along with Alex. Oh! And me too. Have I said that? I think I said that. I don't know. But anyways, I'll have to talk with Alex about his behavior at Ari. Whatever it is, I have to find out. End of diary." Mary walks out finish listening and head straight for bed.
